It would appear Spurs didn't share FSW's vision either. His chips with curry sauce won't be tasting very nice as he struggles to survive in China.
Sure. They're on wiki. Rafa Managed 142 games, win% 42.5 Bruce Managed 13 games, win% 30.8 Similar outcome. Rafa's stats are better. Example - we never took a 5-0 beating in the three seasons Rafa was in charge whilst with Bruce we've already had that kind of result.
Rafa's includes storming the Championship aye? Not quite like for like. You all worshipped Rafa and Steve Bruce has come in and shown he was nee miracle worker, Steve Bruce man Mind you it will all unravel for Bruce, always does.
Good point Fair enough, Rafa wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but IMO he was the only one many of us felt that we could trust. He's moved on, so should we, and we've got to give Bruce trust and respect.
Clearly skewed by the Championship season where he won 29 of 46 games. So PL only: 86 games 27 wins (31% ratio) Largely the same, yet the majority chastise Bruce and worship Benitez.
Totally agree with you. Ashley wants us picking up the massive TV money and advertising benifits for SD. He properly invested which gave us the firepower to pee the championship. That included a reliable boss. Trouble was that he gave precious little more than that to move us away from being a good championship side in the Prem. IMO Rafa called him out, so moved on. That's what we fans have to do. If we can take the gloves off for a moment, can I ask - hypothetical I know, but if Rafa left China and returned to the UK, would you welcome him to get you lot moving back up?
Is Rafa Benitez better than Phil Parkinson basically? Aye, of course he is. He's just massively overrated or at least has been average at best for years and years now.
That was well placed trust mind... ****ed off for more money at first chance... Oh sorry it was a for the vision and project of China
How will you feel if he's back in the Prem this season and you have to play against his team? Will you still pipe him off?
It's a possibility that he'll be back in the Prem. I don't look forward to getting one over him, but that's how it'll be. You've gotta understand that he replaced Steve McClaren. He got a few brownie points from day 1 for that. Rafa's flew the love nest if you like. We've still got a respect for the man but have moved on.
He got his net spend brownie points from Schteve that's for sure! Even though he spent and wasted **** loads of money.
I don't think it's realistic to say Benitez called Ashley out. Well before that Ashley made a rare TV appearance specifically to say he couldn't, and wouldn't, spend big money. He's made it clear he feels he can't compete and invited other people to buy the club and try.
Newcastle, as Ashley recently suggested, are almost unsaleable. The cost of buying the club, funding new facilities, repairing the stadium, etc would be around £500 million. Add the fact that the club don't own SJP, so can't move to a modern stadium, and they could be stuck with Ashley for another decade.
Ashley hated for making a profit and being in the premier league, spending two record fees within the last year Benitez the god leaves for a project of receiving £12 million a year in China you could not make it up anywhere else
You could and would have this every single day on planet earth. How many of us on here would turn down a £12m a year job? Again I agree with you - Ashley is hated.
