Quite ‘Disabled’ doesn’t equal ‘wheelchair user’ (which actually is why I think the symbol on blue badges should be changed...but that’s a different debate) I was simply suggesting this would have been an easy way for them to put right one of their lies, and I’d prefer it if they had.
You’re right. Johnbo posted an example of when he took his wife and he was happy with the 2 for 1 equivalent pricing. The issue is our disabled fans that pay full price with no carer. There’s a chap in South Stand who I have seen attending City games for years with no carer. So he’s missing out.
This^ ...oh and the fact that they should have already reinstated them when they spuriously claimed that they’d moved back to the old pricing structure...but it turned out they’d lied instead.
Then he won’t qualify for one and have been assessed as not high rate dla or enhanced pip by the benefits agency. Maybe it should be looked at on an individual basis
Have you asked him what his situation is? He might be like Filey and feel he’s happy to pAy full pops and doesn’t want to be treat differently? some disabled people don’t want what they see as special privileges
My mate enquired a few seasons back, and was told that a free carer ticket was only if you were in the disabled part and not in the stands.
I haven’t but that’s not my responsibility to ask. Disabled people generally have much higher living costs. So potentially less disposable income. Concessions give a bit back.
Well I'm claiming a seat in the dug out, but that leaves a few spare in the directors box or near Swan and Burns.
I wonder how much of this was already planned by the club and how much was input from the stand reps/supporter’s committee. We know they’ve had two meetings since the last Supporter’s Committee purely to discuss this but that wouldn’t suggest to me sufficient time to put something like this together. I imagine the ideas were presented to them and they offered changes. Then compromised ideas were presented in the second meeting to be signed off. This seems to be something that has come from the club themselves (hand forced by attendances probably) rather than the committee so credit to them for actually doing something about it and no longer burying their head in the sand.
Maybe a sale is close by and they don't want any new buyer coming in, implementing these obvious change,s, increasing the gates and making two business geniuses look stupid - although it's probably not possible for anyone to make them look more stupid than they have themselves
So my dad and uncle are getting their membership back. Any idea how much it's going to cost me to move my seat ? Ta
Interesting thought; we can only hope. “Everyone needs to get behind the team from top to bottom and that’s what it’s about for me". Liar. “But you don’t get promoted or have success as a team unless you’ve got the fans behind you.” Stupid twat should have thought about that before. As welcome as the changes are, make no mistake, they are only making changes now for their own agenda, because it suits them. But great if it sees the rebuilding of local support, especially of the younger generation.
