It benefits absolutely no one for us to stay in this league. Donald must think he's the best candidate. No one actually knows if he's the cheapest option. He's had promotions with 2 different teams and there's no reason why he couldn't do it with us.

He'll be backed man, that doesn't mean we have to pretend to be happy about this appointment. Your blind optimism is nauseating

Tell yer what. I'd be dead surprised no matter who is appointed if they equal jack Ross's points tally over the 1st 10 games. It will be a worse appointment than Ross I reckon. I give him till eastet

I haven't had a 'definite' yet but I've had 3 messages saying they believe he's already been appointed.

I can only hope he's a stand in until the Americans take control and we get serious.

Thats alright then!! I’m probably feeling a bit exhausted at the moment hence my curt overreaction.

    So did Grayson.

It smack's of settling for mediocrity.

He is not my choice in the slightest. That said I will support whoever is put in charge, let’s hope if he has been given a contract till the end of the season then that’s his motivation to try get a longer appointment

I didn't say they were failures. I said 2-3 meaningful successes in 17 years.

Thing is so have other managers. That's the point no one will know until 2 months down the line. Basically our last 5 managers have failed when more was expected from them.

Nee bosh marra, this isn't RTG. For what it's worth posting on here made me realise how defensive I felt there with all the negativity and there's no way I'd want that here.

Ok I'll admit you didn't say he failed at Colchester but you did say he failed at Bolton.

Anyone wanting a Bolton view on Parkinson listen to John McGinley's podcast on Under the Cosh, really does not fill me full of hope, he details one instance when Parkinson called him to discuss why he thought his football was so dire.

Ill give him the benefit of the doubt but I see grim times ahead on and off the pitch, what an anti climax.
