Good to see the KCOM with a decent crowd, memories of what it used to be like. Just goes to show if ticket prices are affordable, that can be a big step forward in starting to attract fans back to City games. It's not rocket science, the airlines have done it for years, fill empty seats with prices that attach people to come.
All 4 stands packed with excited boys and girls. A night for the youth on and off the pitch. Very few old gits there. Partially restored my faith that we are still a football city and the younger generation we have lost in recent years are still out there loving the game just temporarily not attending City.
Three matches on that pitch this week. Heads up to the groundsmen, the pitch has never looked better.
Excellent night last night, wife and our boys loved it evoking past memories. Only down side was the ticket scanners causing long queues.
According to a conversation I saw on twitter, it was some bloke who objected to loud clapping behind him and started throwing punches while surrounded by kids. Bizarre if true.
There were some proper 'tards queuing to get in last night. Bar codes still too cutting edge for some it seems.
No doubt there were, but it's not all down to 'tards', my bar-code wouldn't scan last night and I used printed tickets to get into every home game last season (apart form the one they banned me for), so it's not like I don't know how they work.
one of the south stand turnstiles weren;t open again last night while queues were going half way round the ground
4 of us in attendance last night, East Stand...E9...row T...people already in our seats...me to steward.."have i got the right row and seats as people are already sat in what i think are ours"?...steward to me, "they sent out dupicate tickets for the same seats, try and find somewhere else to sit"...honestly..fooking amateurs..!
