Just watched tonight's Look North. Seems like there's a simple plan to rejuvenate Spring Bank, just by giving some of the building/business properties a fresh coat of colourful paint. Nice idea. It's the simple things.
It's a good start - if things are clean and tidy it looks like people care about the place, a simple but effective technique.
Come on people It’s Humber St Sesh this weekend Here’s your gig lists for Friday and Saturday See you near the bar
I must be too old to go because I certainly can't read that list of bands ^^^^^ even viewing it on twitter
I bet Norwich hasn't got anything like this..... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...-toilets-named-500-UK-travel-experiences.html
BBC Breakfast have just had some gobshite presenter from Scunthorpe on called Ian Collins taking the piss out of these bogs. Feels like a pre-2017 crap towns open goal.
Possibly, but it was an outside agency bigging it up not us. Always thought King Billy's were the jewels in the crown tbh.
They will have to rely on not one but two cathedrals, a castle, the largest mediaeval preserved quarter, the most mediaeval churches in Northern Europe to carry on attracting the hordes of tourists they get. Though they must be worried at thousands opting to go to Hull to have a look at the bogs.
Why? Look at what The Great Escape in Brighton has become. Started out small like HSS, started adding the best up-and-coming bands in the country year on year and now is a blended mix of local and national talent that people from all over the country go to to check out the UK's best new musical talent before they make it big, which in turn brings in more visitors to the city and gives a bigger platform and wider audience to their local talent.
Meanwhile, in Scunthorpe. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/n...ys-bikes-carry-huge-sofa-impressive-feat.html
