7th March:

Solskjaer as a permanent manager is a joke, I hope it happens. So far his main qualification is not being Mourinho. Literally 7.5 billion of us can do that. I think it's a fantasy to believe Man Utd's mercenaries give a crap about what he did back in the day.

It's one thing getting one of the most expensive squads in history to stop downing tools by being a new face, it's another to build your own team to challenge for the PL. Solskjaer has no chance.

I think Pochettino would be a disaster for them too though. [HASHTAG]#winwin[/HASHTAG]

I think people are missing where the real difference is
Ole has to take the credit but bringing back Phelan is a masterstroke, to me that is where moyes went wrong.
Utd squad is better than ours imho and have said that all the way through, it just needed organising.
Utd are athreat to CL, eveyone is that is left in.
I am hoping that we go through, would be happy with a score draw but just cant believe all three german sides will go out so i am expecting the worst.
We are in for a lot of negative media attention and wummery,
Hope i am wrong but thats the way it currently looks

No it isn't. Their squad is completely unbalanced in having zero defensive quality. That's why Mourinho opted to defend with the entire team behind the ball and Solskjaer goes all out attack instead (except for losing his nerve and doing a Mourinho against us).

Neither option is capable of sustaining a title challenge, whereas even with plenty of injuries our squad has been comfortably in a title race all season.

make your mind up.

First its Ole is a joke and anyone can do it, next its their squad is **** and rubbish yet OGS has got more points than Klopp :emoticon-0138-think

I never said it's rubbish I just objected to the LFC fans on here having a [HASHTAG]#meltdown[/HASHTAG] that their squad was better than ours.

I think those people have now realised they were talking nonsense. Not one person is prepared to name a combined squad or do a player comparison that has Man Utd anywhere close to equal, let alone ahead of us.

other than the fact I actually did which makes your little rant sound trite.

8th March:

Thanks.

Depends what range we are talking about. If i had to choose a team i would like (based on talent and potential)

De gea
Taa. Vvd gomez robbo
Pogba fabinho herrera
Salah rashford martial

If it was the here and now

De gea
Taa vvd lindelof robbo
Pogba fabinho herrera
Salah rashford mane

Even with that mad Rashford call, LFC still have more players

So even a [HASHTAG]#neutral[/HASHTAG] doesn't think Man Utd's squad is better

Thats a first 11 astro. Not a squad

10th March:

For those who live in fear that Man Utd have a better squad and Solskjaer is a good manager, today's win against Burnley means LFC/Klopp now have 2 more points than them in equivalent fixtures

13th March:

Wonder if the media will have a ****fest over this like they did Man Utd/OGS beating PSG

I'd settle for the fans on this board reconsidering that Man Utd's squad might not be better than ours after all.

To be fair, they probably do have a better squad but I think our first XI is better.

16th March:

So, after we deservedly beat Bayern Munich and Man Utd deservedly lose to Wolves, what are the opinions of those who were saying their squad is better than ours?

You just beat a very poor German team and we just got battered by a very good team, no comparison <ok>

your point?

I gather you have none...

Perhaps our squad was being underrated by Liverpool fans just because Ole hit a bit of form against absolute [HASHTAG]#nomarks[/HASHTAG]. How many still dumping our GK, midfield, and Mané for Utd players?

or just perhaps we've had no injuries since... ;)

Hardly surprising but I come out of that quite well :)

I still agree with what I said. We have a better first XI, but United have better depth in squad. They have a lot of talented players in their squad.

Our squad is currently very shallow. Allison, VVD, TAA, Robinson, the front 3...

Any of those players injured and it's a crisis. Imagine if multiple of them injured at once. Our top two position is in large part luck that we haven't had many serious injuries to key positions this year. It isn't repeatable next year without more luck. Man for man our first XI is better... Our depth is shallow compared to the rest of top 6... Except for midfield, which we're always getting more players for.

Their current predicament is more down to Jose's mismanagement, it's not so much lack of talented players. OGS may not have made many steps up the ladder, but he has kept pace better with the top teams than Jose did, the honeymoon is over but he's not as bad. The gap between City and Utd isn't growing as fast as it was before.

I'd be surprised if Utd don't finish top 3 next season.

Not as bad? He's just got humiliated by Everton and [HASHTAG]#bbcsalford[/HASHTAG] have an articles dedicated to Solskjaer being on the worst run they've ever had in the PL

Yeah? And we lost 5-0 to City and 4-1 to Spurs last year... Didn't stop us rebounding this year! (Or indeed last year)

United obviously aren't a threat to us this season they're too far behind. They're a threat to us next season IF they improve first XI and IF we don't improve depth.

I'm not worried what United do this season. Except for their game against City, they're irrelevant to us at the moment.

We lost to City with 10 men. That City side got 100 points. Man Utd had 11 men against an Everton side that can finish 7th at best.

We improved by buying Alisson and Van Dijk, two of the best players in the world.

We're comparing our squad to Man Utd's right now, not if maybe they buy a load of [HASHTAG]#worldclass[/HASHTAG] players next season.

Who do you think Ole can attract with his famous football philosophy? No one. The same mercenaries who have dug them into this hole in the first place.

Like Gomez and TAA were? Added downer that Matip and Lovren were out too. Plus we ****ed Clyne off because, frankly, we'd be better playing with just ten men ;)

I'd rather we played Fabinho and Hendo at CB than Jones and Smalling
