Overall I was underwhelmed when Holloway was appointed and disappointed in the manner he was sacked.....it lacked class.
I was equally underwhelmed when Mcclaren was appointed and as I posted on the Bolton match thread I'm just totally confused by the way the team has performed since New year's day......now I'm just meh about the whole thing....

I find it sad more than anything else. McClaren had us 2 points off the play offs on Boxing Day, got us a Cup run for the first time in West Windsor's living memory, beat Forest away 1st time in anyone's memory, and had us playing some good football with spark and guts, Villa home was a great example.

WTF went wrong? Injuries, a packed schedule, bad luck., there were all these at first, but our performances started to go downhill too. After Saturday I saw some players get absolute sh*te performance ratings, 2 and 3's, yet I thought individually none was that bad,. What seemed missing was the collective, playing for each other that we had before this bad run started, BOS great runs down the wing but why couldn't he ever find a hooped shirt to centre too? They looked like they weren't playing together as a team anymore which of course leads you to wonder what the Manager and his many assistants are doing wrong. It was McClaren that deserved the really sh*te team rating, and he's lost his job again because of it.

Spot on mate! Hero to zero just in few months. Very much bad luck with injuries, ref decisions and all. McClaren lost his grip and now he is gone. I have to say whoever get us scoring again have to be a wizard. We were so poor
on the front of both goals against awful bolton side, that its take some doing..

Holloway would be a huge step backwards imo.

He'd get them to give 100% for sure, but has everyone forgotten the tombola selections week after week and ridiculous changes of tactics and formations, often a couple of times during a game?
Did Holloway give youth a chance? I honestly can't remember.

I would want someone new, but really not sure who.

They must have a shortlist, but the way we are run you never know.
I cant think of anyone that jumps out at me..but i know who i dont want,Les's best mate Sherwood or Holloway and definately not that clown Evans.

I'm hesitant to go backwards as well but, to be fair to Ollie, the tombola selections seemed to die off and he became more consistent with team picks.

Shame for Schteeve they didn't go on strike last week...

I think our players may have been on strike on Saturday.

We are a poison challis, I can’t see anyone half decent wanting to manage us. It’s going to be a thankless task given that FFP has destroyed our chance to compete for anything but mere survival next season. (Be that in the Championship or Div 1).

It's always sad to see a manager sacked, they come in with the best intentions and want the best for the club and the fans. I thought McClaren looked like a good fit for us once we got over the dreadful start to the season. We started winning away, kept clean sheets and were scoring goals again. Then 2019 happened and it all went to rat ****, I still can't fathom out why? Might of had something to do with the January transfer embargo and not being able to bring anyone in to cover for injuries.

I don't think if it was up to me that I'd of sacked him (and nor would I have with Holloway.) I would've let him try and get over the line this season and try to put together a squad to fight for next season now the transfer embargo is over. Sacking and changing manager's so frequently has never worked for us and yet the club have season after season told us they were seeking stability. I think that our deluded owners harbour a desire to miraculously achieve promotion and can't face up to the reality of the situation the club finds itself in. It's galling to think that when they came in we were a Premier League club with no debt. Half a billion pounds later we're back to where we were a decade ago and in a far worse financial situation.

Would like Wagner or Jokanovic, just can’t see it, better jobs available in a couple of months.

What about looking the other way, Danny Cowley has done a great job at Lincoln, would be happy to see someone like that given a chance.

Time for a Frenchman imo

Break the bank get in Wenger and let him get in French talent only then will we get back to the top tier ... time for a big name imo a man who plays modern football

Ridiculous! Let's try to be a bit realistic at least.

What I'd do is get Gareth Southgate in and give him all the money he needs to buy the whole England squad.
