Teams can now engage in a spending frenzy to sign other team's out of contract best talent. https://www.nfl.com/freeagency
Been some interesting moves so far. OBJ to Cleveland? Antonio Brown to Oakland? Crazy times.... Not much in the way of news from the Vikings yet though, other than resigning a couple of players. Corrodelle Patterson to the Bears is a bit annoying though.
https://www.vikings.com/news/2019-minnesota-vikings-free-agent-tracker The Vikings did retain Anthony Barr, who we here in NY thought had agreed to terms with the Jets.
Vikings can't do much as they are pretty ****ed cap wise. They lost Richardson who I much rather would've kept than Barr. Sounds like Griffen is staying which I also don't like particularly. Lots of talk about trading Waynes which would be a good move if they can get some competent O-line help for him. He is a decent starter so you'd like to think some CB needy team might be willing to do some deal. Also sounds like they are giving Treadwell even more time to continue being useless
Not having the money this year is the Kirk Cousins echo. He was going to do it to whatever team took him on.
Yep, they've also lost one of the 2 guards they had on the roster as the Saints offered him more money than they could. I mean he is pretty **** but shows that they can't even afford to keep hold of **** players as they can't pay them. They better go O-Line early and often in the draft otherwise they will be lucky to go 8-8 this year, even then I can't see them having a winning season. Spielman the GM has been there for a while now so wouldn't surprise me either to see him sacrifice future years drafts to try and nail this one to save his job as another losing year and surely he is gone.
