Couldn’t give a sh*t about performances to be honest. Club has gone through too much turmoil over the last few years to get consistent performances at the moment. Jack threw a team together at the start of the season and in January added more new faces in January. It’s just all about results at the moment and till the end of the season. A sign of a great team is winning and getting results when your not playing well. We are in a great position and have so much going for us now. Onward and upward....
Exactly my thoughts too. Performance means nothing. Lots of pretty passing? How many points do you get at then end if 90 minutes of pretty passing without scoring? Not 3!! Give me a ground put sloppy 1-0 win ahead of a scintillating 4-3 loss
I'd settle for 1-0 wins in every game this season....not sure my nerves would mind.
Leadbitter had a decent enough game but was guilty of a couple of really poor give aways which nearly led to goals! I keep bleating about Cattermole but if he does that he gets slated, Christ against Blackpool he got blamed for a 1v1 when all he could’ve done was get himself sent off!
To be fair if he's still doing it when he's played for us as long as Catts has I'm sure people will be on his case, it was only his first game and he got up to speed quickly. I thought he was our best player and looked a straight upgrade on Catts, better passing and tackling.
Leadbitter has barely played this season to be fair to him so a few mistakes is to be expected.
Exactly, and could extend this to the team as a whole, every department Defence Midfield and Attack had a new face, up against a settled team who had just beaten a Premiership club the game before and were up for it. Having to playing in front of a big crowd full of expectation, to battle as they did and win, ugly maybe but win they did, this was a tremendous result for us and lays the ground for a surge, that is surely going to come.
I'd credit him with the assist too, obviously it was all about McGeady's finish but it was a fine long ball from Grant that picked him out. Some of his long passing was top drawer and he always made himself available even when he was struggling a bit at the start. I think he's going to be a big help.

I've always liked young Grant and I don't want to detract from a decent performance, but it was a terrible ball that 'picked out' the defender, who cocked up and gave McGeady the opportunity to win the game.
One concern from yesterday was that we didn't actually create any chances . . . . against a team that's bottom of the league
I'm hoping that it doesn't take as long for the new lads to settle as it has for the old (summer signings) new lads
Playing bad and winning is a good sign. I think after seeing our team sheet and how strong our bench was people expected us to hammer them and because we didn't the negative brigade have piped up with the usual negative dribble.

To be fair, those signings were done at very short notice, with little money to spare, and to the background of a very unsettled dressing room. They have mostly performed admirably , and in some cases heroically to get us where we are today, and even though we have lost a gem, it is only now after this second window that I can see us getting stronger now with real depth to the squad. My only disappointment is that we have not got the higher earners of the paylist but they may come in handy as we push on, and their time is running out.

It was a terrible bit of defending but there was nothing wrong with the accuracy of the pass, if he hadn't made it in the first place it would prob have ended 0-0. We struggled with the basics all game I thought, poor passing and giving it away a lot and combined with the ref blowing for any bit of contact we just couldn't get anything going.
I thought the new lads looked pretty good just have to hope they settle in quickly like you say, they seemed to be linking up alright and getting stuck in.
A good win against Reading U23 who were looking to go top on the league. Max won that for us.
