Charlton on Saturday next month we have Doncaster, Sunderland, Fleetwood and Walsall how the hell is he going to turn it around?
I still think DC has been badly let down by the chairman. He's been trying to build a team on a shoestring and to be honest if we change I can't think who the heck would get any more from these players.
Personally I want Darrell to stay... In other news things don't sound too good between Stefan Payne and 'some' of the supporters. be̶rtie̶@BertieWright Replying to @Official_BRFC @EmiratesFACup Nice of Payne and Adam smith telling fans to F off after the game please log in to view this image please log in to view this image @Stefanpaynee 10h10 hours ago Stefan Payne Retweeted be̶rtie̶ I get the frustration throughout the whole stadium and it is far from good enough, we all know that but don’t you dare tell lies, I never told anyone to **** off! Do any of you stand next to the tunnel like Bertie and maybe witnessed this?
Payne being made the scapegoat. He was getting abuse from a minority of fans last night when he came on before he even had a chance to touch the ball. I wouldnt blame him if he did actually respond to some fans after the game. Fans can give it out and not expect a response and then get upset when the player gives it back. Plebs.
How the hell is ANY manager going to turn it around? We have the toxic fanbase/atmosphere again. We have players who has given up playing for the club. You have a manager who is just waiting to be sacked. Something is clearly going on behind the scenes and that is effecting DC's ability and the players are showing it. You have the board who communicates as many times that we get a total eclipse. You have rumours about having no money. I could go on. But I am too pissed off. So I ask again, how will any manager turn it around? May as well keep DC who knows the players and saves us paying a big compo fee to DC.
I have Faith in DC, but I also believe that the board must back him in the January window. DC has already stated in an interview that it will be 1 in1out. Tom Nicholls got a goal last night and I hope that this will be a boost for the player because HE ALWAYS GIVES 100 %. There are rumours going round that some of the players have non football related personal issues and if this is true then barracking the players will not help. We all have players that we like and dislike but if he puts the club shirt on then can we please all get behind the team and encourage them. I believe the futures bright the futures Blue and White
Following Wael's tweet earlier, he has been bombarded with lots of replies about the lack of communication. As a result, Radio Bristol just tweeted this....
Whats the bets this will be a waste of time because he wont be allowed to answer anything. He will hide behind its confidential like he did last time.
Judging by the quantity and repetitive nature of the reply's to that Wael tweet I think he is going to have to come clean on something or he might just find that the team will be playing in a half empty stadium for the next fixture.
People keep going on about investment in the squad but how do we know if this will turn things around we could spend 1 million and still go down.
Nah, one million may well do it. We might just be able to get some decent players who actually want to play for the club, to add to the few that want to now.
There's no point in sacking DC. He's proved that he can turn things around quite spectacularly and he'll turn this around by the end of the season. If we get relegated, then of course he should be sacked, but if he stays I'm sure we'll stay up this season. Anyone coming in will struggle with the same stuff behind the scenes, and things are so toxic that the fans will want instant success and no new managers will get much of a chance. I don't want to go back to those terrible times after Buckle came in. I would stick with DC and we'll be ok eventually.
Just to get a sense of perspective, DC's win ratio is still really good - much better than most. Ian Atkins 30.9% Paul Trollope 37.3% Darren Patterson 0.0% Dave Penney 15.4% Stuart Campbell 33.3% Paul Buckle 27.5% Mark McGhee 26.6% John Ward 34.7% Darrell Clarke 43.2%
