I think Charlton is for sale, for less, with significant property assets, in London. The sooner the ****s **** off the better, but we’ve been saying this for years now, and my back teeth are ground down to stumps.
Surely a deal will be done eventually... If every potential buyer are telling the Allams "the price is too high", they surely have to lower it? The alternative is they dont sell it this season and we get relegated, then how much will the club be worth? The Allams arnt stupid when it comes to money, they know full well that now is their best chance to get as much money as possible and walk away.
Let's be sensible for a second...would the duff man group have gone this far and done DD if the price was "to high"
It's got to be done quickly because with the clown Adkins at the helm we could easily end up adrift at the bottom and no ****er will want to come in.
There will always be people willing to come, the ££ on offer will just have to larger! Plus IF we get taken over by someone who really wants to invest and challenge then people will want to be apart of it, just as people don't want to be here and part of it now due to dumb and dumber
Sorry, but I disagree again. I think they are incredibly stupid when it comes to money. They've wasted hundreds of thousands if not millions in revenue through driving fans away for a start. They've also manage to **** up golden opportunities to preserve the golden goose, and also to **** up previous opportunities to offload when we really worth something. They've also managed to **** up the opportunity to work in partnership with HCC to create something special when they first came in. The list goes on. I honestly see it that they are incredibly incompetent, arrogant and stubborn.
They own a car park in Hull which costs £2 per day and has 100 spaces. The ticket machine has been out of order for a year. The don’t have any money sense!
Now it’s been mentioned on here expect it to be a £2 per day membership and cctv cameras and ID cards which must be displayed on the dashboard by early next week.
Anyone who thinks we have a potential rich new owner with bags of cash to invest is deluded. If we had a white knight we would know by now. Much more likely a low bid by a relatively cash poor (in FL terms) outfit who hope to increase revenue by getting back some goodwill. We may end up a Champoinship mid table team, but having the bang to attract any decent manager and players is not something I can see... It’s a sad way to go, but the damage done has taken us too far down the road to be a club close to success. We are a club close to relegation and will be lucky to pick it up a bit with a new owner, and see a bump that could keep us up.
If they've got the money to actually buy the club, I'd say they were pretty rich. It's not as though the club is being given away for a tenner. We don't know who the buyer actually is, it's just as deluded to assume it won't be. Just wait and see who it is.
What confuses me is given what’s occurred over the last 6-7 years... Why did The Allams take us over? What motivated them back then
They saw a club on its arse and thought they could make some money with a little investment. Right up to the point where they moved to change the name, it was actually working out for them. The solidified in the first two seasons, then two seasons in the top flight. The mistake was not pushing on from there, although having spent £40m odd on players, some fault has to go to the management at the time. Presumably this is what the new owners will look to do. I wouldn't expect or even wish for promotion in the near future, simply a stable, functioning club with everybody pulling in the same direction and learning from the mistakes of the past. That last one should be super easy, they just need to keep an open, two way dialogue with the fan base.
Anyone who thinks we have a potential new owner with or without a penny to their name is deluded. This is all ahead of the January transfer window to quiten the grumbling when we don’t sign anyone, that’s all. Isn’t the final parachute payment in February? It will be at least then before they leave and I would suspect they will want to hang around til at least after the summer to cash in on Grosicki, Bowen, anyone else who may become valuable in the time between and also to sweep up a potential Harry Maguire sell on.
They don't have to be here, the new owners could just send them the cheque. Or, more hilariously, don't send them anything. Or maybe a humiliatingly **** £109 cheque.
It was a property play, pure and simple, one that backfired on them spectacularly. Plan B was the football.
