To be honest the numbers look a lot of ****e, but over a season I wouldn't be surprised if Rangers get more penalties given for than against. The same goes for most leagues in Europe I'd imagine, the top teams in those leagues who dominate the ball and have the most attacks are almost certain to have more penalties given for than against.
Is this crazy logic?
Penalties being given/not given is not the issue, its the manner in which they are given/not given that proves controversial, not just pens but decisions in general. The stats you posted prove nothing in the debate really.
You could post a stat saying Rangers got 100 pens last season, but so what? If all 100 were stonewall pens what does it prove? If we got 100 that were stonewall pens, how many didn't we get that could be deemed controversial?
