Last season you could watch the full match 24 or 48 hours after for free, seems that probably this will be dropped now they have this streaming service operational.
Some questions How many mid-week games do we play per season - can't be arsed to check How much will it be per game - can't be arsed to check When was the last time I was so disinterested in City - can't be arsed to check How many years has it been since those two twats said they would sell up - can't be arsed to check. As you can tell, I just can't be arsed these days.
John, were you a subscriber to the site which gave you live audio commentary last year ? That was important to me as I had 2 or 3 City fans dropping in on a Saturday morning to listen in. There were several times when the broadcast screwed up, maybe 4 times during the season.Certainly I got the video of the full game. as you say, 1 or 2 days later ( I didn't realize it was free to non-subscribers as I always had to log in as a subscriber). Perhaps the 1-2 day delayed feature will exist on the new set-up (still being supplied by amg - but live video this time, as opposed to live audio only). I would have thought if they priced the new package reasonably there may be more ex-pats signing up if they watched the 1-2 day delayed full video match replay. Having the delayed video available free on the official web site may well reel in more paying subscribers to watch the live transmission. Mind you, we are dealing with our owners, so you never know what they'll do. So far, in trying to establish how to access the new live video service I am experiencing all sorts of problems in getting answers to how I can do it as an existing subscriber. The info/documentation for the transition is pathetic. How these "businessmen" managed to make money in other endeavors baffles me. Preying on the unfortunate world disasters maybe leads to a captive audience.
No, I didn't subscribe to the audio and could watch the highlights and the full game 24-48 hours after the match free though TigerTV. I may be wrong, but I suspect the audio is a different provider to this new stream service, so would doubt they are linked. Probably you will have to cancel the audio and subscribe to the streaming service if that is what you prefer. Again, I may be wrong but would expect that you can watch the match after it has been streamed, but through the streaming service. It seems now they will show interviews and highlights on their Youtube channel, but full match viewing will be through the streaming service.
Swansea have just announced their prices for the same service as we're offering, so I assume ours will be similar... International fans Fans outside the UK and Ireland can purchase a season-long subscription for Championship fixtures for just £110. There is also an optional monthly subscription for £14.99 which will be automatically renewed unless cancelled by the subscriber. Individual matches can be purchased for £7.99 and will go on sale approximately three days before each fixture.
Bit of an update. I just talked to a bloke in the media/marketing department at City. I had a bunch of questions about the implementation of the new Live Video service they are about to launch. One important issue for me is that I am still being charged for the old TigersTV link which is essentially paying for what was the live Viking audio commentary. Asked him about costs for new service, whose doing the commentary, what is needed to be done if you're already paying for the old system etc etc. He didn't know all the answers, but assured me they are in the throws of testing the new system and there should be announcements in the next week. He will also ensure I get an e-mail response from the techie team with answers to my questions. He was attentive & forthright and professional and I trust he'll follow through One thing he did say was that they will have an in-house commentator /announcer at the game (the "streamamg.com" vid link) and at the same time have the live Burnsey RH audio link separately. I obviously asked him if we could "pick & mix" i.e watch the amg streamed video and listen to Burns's commentary at the same time, and how much that would cost if they could bundle the services. I'd obviously "mute" one & pick up the other. My focus was obviously as a foreign ( non-UK resident), so I didn't quiz him about people living in the UK outside of the RH transmission range - if that is of any relevance for live Video/audio requiring e.g. VPN set up etc. I'l post anything relevant when I get responses, particulary for ex-pats. Edit: Update. Here's the e-mail response I just received, redacted to protect the innocent Anyone need the specific e-mail address for the web-site tech individual I've blanked out, p.m. me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi xxxx, Thank you for getting in touch over the phone - once again I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been experiencing problems logging into your Tigers TV account. Just checked that last link on your post OLM. It seems to me that they have covered off all the points I made in my phone discussion with the media guy early last week. I'm not sure I had any influence, but it's good to see they have offered free Radio Humberside audio commentary with the Video subscription (annual & monthly options, not the PPV option). That'll allow us ex-pats to listen to Burnsey if we prefer whilst watching the streamed live video. Good for them. Also good to see they "terminated" the existing audio subscription debits for those who had the Viking deal. Assuming 36 games available, roughly 3 quid is a decent price for live video if you purchase the annual option. Stability is the key. The acid test of course will be the Sheff Wed game.
You could try it as a one off for £5 and see what you think. I think it's a good deal. It's a shame I can't get it in England.
May do that Tigger. I'm wondering if UK based fans could set themselves up with a $US or $Can bank account at one of the banks over there. Coupled with a North American based VPN service (about 5 quid a month ?) you may be able to get round the issue for a reasonable price ?
I don't think it's very easy to set up foreign bank accounts these days, money laundering and all that.
Have already signed up. Prepared for the first few to be a bit iffy while the club sorts it all out as a new product, I know a number of games I bought last year had issues as everyone got used to it, but in the long run I think it'll be fantastic.
So what are they doing for away games? I think last season many teams just used a single camera for their own ifollow, but we are selling ours as multi camera angle live stream (with commentary I think)
Bit restrictive IMO, I'm going back out to Vietnam Wednesday but still just use my UK bank account for all transactions even though I'm there. So unless I open an account there I wouldn't be able to buy it. Not bothered as I am not paying the club anything more until these owners are gone.
