I am glad to see Swanny is 'excited' by players who have proven absolutely nothing at this level of football, and we are not even competing with teams for players who are earning far less in income this year. Yes we are cutting the bills, yet we will make a significant profit this year due to parachute payments now and we are not even getting close to competing a the top end of the table or even top middle of the table which we should be given our top 6 income. Let's not forget the Allams continue to throw away any bit of good work they did on the football side of things. #ALLAMSOUT and the boycott continues.
So you'd rather the allams spent the kind of money Forrest are spending and give people daft contracts but in turn stay for another 2/3/4 years? Me personally I'd rather us do exactly what we are doing and building a squad that looks like it won't go up but at the same time won't go down, the allams get their money back and then **** off leaving us with a new owner, a debt free club and a squad that's young, has a growing value (hopefully) and plenty of scope for the new owner to invest rather then Pay of debt....
I still don't get why so many think that they are planning to leave after they have got their money back, and on top of that leave us debt free with a good young squad that's increasing in value.
I assume its because it makes the club more attractive to a potential buyer, plus it is sensible in case they dont get a buyer. My concern though is that they continue to be unrealistic in tems of how much they expect a buyer to pay, which has likely been the big problem all along (a view backed up recently by someone pretty close to the twats).
I think Eham has made it quite obvious what his plan is with the age and low cost of the players coming in. We are clearly now a selling club.
Personally I have liked what we've done in the transfer market young players with something to prove. Plus we have loan options. Desperately need a strikers though but every club does. I trust Adkins and believe he may surprise a few this season.
I’d agree completely if they were going to leave I don’t expect they are though I assume they’re trying to get to a place we’re they can stay after getting their cash out I hope you’re right though
We have an added problem now, the brokers that were involved in trying to find a buyer have got fed up of Ehab’s games and are no longer bothering.
I think we all know they where never bothered about selling whilst they still had cash from dropping down coming in, they just played the game and acted like they wanted to. Fingers crossed they act quickly and seriously when the cash cow has run dry and it starts to potentially hurt them financially rather then help them
The earliest they will go is next summer unless Adkins does the impossible and we will be stuck with them indefinitely
I think we will see activity the second the last payment is made, but I think your right...it will probs take till summer
