No longer special. Sanitised, same global sponsors, no cultural difference, The world is connected, normal workers travel to other countries easily. Daily commutes are UK to Brussels. This game could have been in Leeds , Krakow, Manchester or Melbourne and looked and felt no different.
Not as special as the previous 40 years.
Just another tournament.
Hope we win though.

Yes there's been better goals & better performances but this was two teams playing football without feeling the need to cheat.

Fair play Sweden, you deserved to be there, gave your all & kept it within the spirit of the game.

Does anyone know how many played for him as under 21s?

(I actually had breakfast at St Georges Park on the next table to him and the under 21s a few years ago but apart from Kane there wasn’t many I remembered afterwards)

Hurts, but I'm still proud over our WC.

I'm gonna drink a bit too much now and try to relax.

Edit: I have to be a bit more bitter. My throat is still hurting when the they called Berg offside (onside, altho barely), but moments later let (Sterling?) probably 1-2 meters offside play on. Nearly gave me a stroke when he didn't wave offside at first.

Yeah, some quality saves from him.

It was never gonna be that kind of game tho.
Like some said, more of a proper Premier League game, top against bottom half team.
We don't dive and we don't do any time consuming stuff really (properly annoyed me against Switzerland :D )
