Sterling ran around like a blue assess fly and then inevitably vanished up his own arse - drop him now! Why does England spend most of their time going backwards when they have the lead? Despite the shocking officiating I thought we played like we always do and we need to up the ante to prove ourselves to the world. Rather boring actually! Stop making excuses for these overpaid mollycoddled guys because they should be proud to wear the shirt and I’m not so sure that they share that sentiment. Breaking news that F.I.F.A are investing the officials and their decisions.
Sorry to disappoint you there Rob because out here in the colonies we don’t read the rags. Enjoy the rest of the World Cup and I promise not to emulate the Mail ever again.
I agree with Mike as I put on an earlier post. I think the guy is a total waste of space. He'd be better advised to go and get another tattoo.....
I agree RP, Walker gave him a decision to make and it went against him, how that was worse than Costa's forearm into the face of the Portugese defender that he got away with and went on to score is beyond me, not too mention the facing away from the ball rugby tackle in the box on Kane. Consistency is the key, and maybe naively I thought that was one of the benefits of VAR, alas it seems not......
I haven't seen the clip yet on here but the local news were all having orgasms over the celebrations of Kane's winning goal at the bar in your stadium where the celebrations were pretty mental. Well I am watching the Iran/Spain game now and just before the 2nd half started, they said after the game they will be showing an interview of Rashford which shows him watching the clip of the celebrations from your stadium and other clips of celebrations from elsewhere and Rashford will be discussing them apparently. Just a heads up for you in case you were not aware
Yep thats the clip that the local news couldn't stop w**king over. They will discuss it all in a minute apparently.
A harsh penalty just given in the Denmark - Australia game - yes, the ball hits the defender's arm, but in no way intentional and no advantage gained from it. The only thing I would say is maybe there's an argument he had it in an 'un-natural' position, but I think very harsh - especially as he seemingly got booked for it!
This isn't a great Argentina side, but still has some great players - Croatia though; wow! Loving this World Cup so far!
Great to see Maradonna's "hand of God" covering his own eyes at Caballero's cock-up!! What goes round, comes round. Shame it wasn't against England!
Yeah what a game that was. It's so easy to say with hindsight but Croatia's midfield is actually amazing, and I hadn't noticed. Rakitic (Barcelona), Modric (Real Madrid), Perisic and Brozovic (both of Inter), that's got to be right up there with the best in the tournament. Add in Kovacic as well who is also of Real, that is such a strong midfield and I can't believe I hadn't noticed it before.
