A long delay to Abramovic's visa decision could add some interest to matters. I'm not sure on that issue. It's come at a helpful time for him regarding him being a central witness in a court case regarding the fallout between 2 Russian Oligarchs over a mining company that he owns a percentage in, as a result of Putin placing him there to 'keep the peace'. It could suit him to be unavailable for that as some very difficult issues regarding his relationship with Putin could come up. If it's arisen outside of his control, it isn't going to encourage him to be spending large amounts of money in this country....maybe he could move Chelsea to the East?

He does not have a residency visa, but an "investor" one.

With the ongoing handbags over the Salisbury stuff, and the
UK govt allegedly looking a lot more diligently at the
"corporate structures" (ie flow of money) from Russia firms
doing "business" here, there is immense summer comedy
value on this one.

Michael Dawson is in talks with Forest, as his contract with Hull City ends this summer.
Started off playing alongside a veteran Spurs fan there (Des Walker) and now he'll return as one.

My thoughts on Michael Dawson veer dangerously towards Original Spurcat's. He's possibly my favourite player of the last 10 years.....that FA Cup game at Fulham excluded.

Apparently he was due to sign for Forest on January transfer deadline day, but the deal broke down at the last minute.

I always have time for a footballer with a proper haircut. That said, he is a thoroughly decent man and deserves to be called a Tottenham Legend.

The Modric game was much like Eriksen at Anfield.

Forced out of his stride and control due to the
usual Poool 90mph huff and puff pressing from KO.

But once the wind died down, control was exerted

Former academy player (who we caught Chelsea trying to tap up) Nya Kirby gave a good account of himself in the Panda Cup, finishing joint top scorer with goals against Uruguay and Hungary as England finished (a distant) second to winners China.
 
I awoke this lovely BH morning and chanced my arm with TalkSHITE..........No Alan Brazil........good.........Ally McCoist........okay. He was accompanied by former Mouser and Villa player and Swansea supporter, Dean Saunders.........very funny. So, it didn't get switched off immediately.

Very shortly into my listen........."and next we've got Exeter DoF, Steve Perryman." They asked him about Martin Chivers playing for Spurs with a shoulder strapped heavily back in the late 60's. Aaaahhh, the good old days, when men were men. He also recalled playing against Coventry in the FA Youth Cup Final with Graeme Souness and Phil Holder. He said Holder was his great friend in football and deserved to captain a team containing 2 players that went on to captain at the highest level. As ever, he came across as the consummate professional with an inexhaustible love and respect for the game.

I can't believe it was 49 years ago that his first game was my first game at WHL. I cannot imagine anyone ever breaking his appearance record. I am almost as nervous about the outcome of today's game as I would be if we were playing, Win it for him, Exeter. Win it.

Stevie P played every game like it might be his last, never took his career for granted and on the pitch never gave up, not for a minute.

Must have been a delight to play with and manage - and a nightmare to play against!

They certainly don't make them like that anymore :emoticon-0152-heart

0-1 and Exeter need to improve drastically to get anything from this. First half very poor all round, but Coventry much better.
