No, true, rode your amazing luck in that first half not to be 5 0 down. City celebrated in their heads at half time, and paid the price.

They came out in that second half expecting to waltz through it.

Maybe it was Maureen's plan to lull City into a false sense of security by being uber **** in the first half <laugh>

tbh its looked like they had given up in that first half.

i cant believe it was just a regular team.talk.

City should have expected an effort in the first 15 mins of the second half. They went out thinking it would be the cakewalk of the first half
But United were already 2 down.

City never got their heads back, they were a shambles in the second half, it was not United brilliance, it was City calamity that saw that game overturned.

They should have been solid for the first 20 mins of that second half and expected United to be more motivated. Guardiola slipped up.

2nd half was more about mentality than skill

Still, blind luck is why United managed to get the win, all hinged on Sterling's 3 missed sitters, even with a stick on penalty denied

silver lining is city need to beat spurs now.

Spurs have taken 22 out the last 24 points and are the form team in the league.
That will be a tough ask for City who will be coming off a midweek game.

Given all the TOP4 get CL group stage from next season, 3rd or 4th doesn't matter beyond dick waving.
With us having a very likely CL semi to play, Spurs are favourites for 3rd and may even push Utd for 2nd IMO.

Dick waving is very important though...

look I've said 2nd was never on and I've said spurs had easiest run in too.

we are still looking at Chelsea below rather than anyone in front of us... even if spurs are only just catching us due to game in hand.

we are also in the midst of an injury mini crisis so are just falling over line for 2nd year running... 4th is all but assured imo. we have 4 piss easy games if we have a fit first team and frankly have no excuses from here.

Only saw the goals and couple highlights from Msnchester Derby. How did the ref not give a pen and red card against Young <yikes>

Studs into Agueros knee?!

I can see why it was not a red, but it was definitely a penalty 100%

Why Atkinson thinks it was OK to clip the ball and plunge studs into Aguero is beyond me, but then again, he's a piss poor ref and always has been

There are no British refs at the WC for good reason

Agreed but Diego tried to claim otherwise before we played each other. He also tried to say there was no rivalry between Liverpool and Man Utd any more

We're competing with Bayern, Barca, and Real

Man Utd are competing with Southampton, Spurs, and Chelsea

For the same reason that he thinks its ok for young to handball it in order to stop sterling having a clear shot at goal.
