Hero or Villain? Pensioner, 78, 'stabs armed burglar to death' at home in south east London https://www.standard.co.uk/news/cri...ocial&utm_source=Twitter#link_time=1522842842
Cu Seems that maybe the truth is what he needs to tighten up on. Who knows? It might all change once we hear from the OPCW, but at the moment, it seems that they have taken a stance based on false, or maybe, no information. Sounds familiar, ah yes, that's politics. And incidentally, I have absolutely no issue with the way we discuss such events on here, debate amoungst ourselves is healthy and thought provoking, but it struck me all along that the mainstream media just simply followed the government line, never questioned it and in fact, virtually mocked anyone who did.
By the way, Goldie, I will get back to you on the stuff we were talking about last week, I want to give it the time it warrants.
Hero. Honestly an armed burglary including a struggle on an innocent man. Obviously I don't know the circumstances of the burglars (poor life, robbing for food or just out and out thug) but I'm erring on the poor man who did nothing wrong but defend himself when he was getting robbed
It's unusual to arrest for murder so quickly in cases like this so I think there are facts that haven't been disclosed yet.
On the facts known, sounds like a hero. He's 78, and had to face two burglars, one pointing a screwdriver at him. This case leads on nicely from the debate I was having with Seagull on what is reasonable force.
I should think it's standard procedure when someone admits killing someone else. The big question will be whether he is charged with anything.
One suspect went upstairs while the homeowner was forced into the kitchen by the second suspect, armed with a screwdriver. protecting himself and his wife not sure hero is the right word
'Forced' being the key word here, you are allowed to defend yourself under threat. I'd have done the same in that situation if I could...
Same as before. just because they cannot give the 100% evidence doesn't mean they didn't do it. I don't believe what people are trying to say. It was a Kremlin hit.
The fact that the person/s who did this have not been infected or been caught would say it was done by a highly trained assassin. Unless of course it didn't really happen and it is a tory plot to try and win a safe seat? Or was it the daughter?
**** knows. It was probably the Russians but that’s not really the point. The way we’ve pretended to have some sort of proof that is seemingly not there is bizarre and not really on.
A highly trained assassin who has completely failed to assassinate anyone with a lethal substance. If you're gonna do it, do it right.
It was a dodgy link to start with, now there's no link and a load of bullshit from may and johnson, plus deleted tweets. So no, not 100% proof, no proof. That's all we've got to go on, given the media blackout. How are you still so adamant it was a kremlin hit?
Maybe the Russian’s daughter overdid it with the Cillit Bang? Perhaps the police need to look for Barry Scott?
An awful lot of things don't add up about the whole thing. We'll never know what really happened imo but there are too many inconsistencies.
