Blacklist watched 5 episodes now binned, just bounce from one problem to next, like Person of interest. Thought ' What happened to Monday' was a decent 6/10. Luv is the Barry Norman of the forum.
titan, about familes who undergo genetic advancements for a trip to titan, meh 6/10 ready player one, decent enough, bit like tron but not, 7/10 black panther, again decent enough, 7/10
I've been watching The Good Fight but nothing will ever beat Boston Legal for law firm shenanigans. (It was called The Practice over there but we already had one.) Also enjoying The Assassination of Gianni Versace, though it's more about the serial killer. I'm guessing they had to do that to make it clear it was the serial killer who killed Versace. As good as the previous one about OJ's trial. I wandered past my local megaplex to find out times for Ready Player One. Had to scan way down the list just to find a screening in plain old 2D. Sonic the Hedgehog on the MegaDrive is still a better game than many on the latest consoles. Content will always be king.
Okja 6.8/10 It appears a kids film 101 Dlamations style story and I suppose that's a fair description but you have to take into account that they say **** a lot in the film when allowing a kid to watch it. please log in to view this image
I was talking about my love for Nuts in May and somebody who also loves it recommended Sightseers. Both are top, top movies.
Anyone else watching Billions? Saw episode 2 of series 3 last night: I must be going ga-ga - how does an earthquake in Mozambique cause a tsunami in Brazil?
@Red Hadron Collider Not sure on Travelers, thinking of binning it after 6 episodes, it's ok but not really looking forward to watching it.
Nuts in May was cringe comedy years before The Office. Everybody I show it to loves it. You may not recognise the great Alison Steadman as Candice Marie. It was part of a Play for Today Mike Leigh threesome, which included Abigail's Party.
You've missed out then - the second series wasn't has good as the first, but it has still been sound.
It's one I'm keeping an eye on, if it's good all the way through and ends at a sensible amount of seasons I might give it a go.
Philomena Cunk on now; 'King Arthur came a lot. More than the normal tablespoon full.' Made me laugh.
Well spotted there. Theres not even a slightest bit of a possibility of it ever happening. ridiculous.
The odds of a female Bond have dropped from 33/1 to 12/1. Obviously the "It's PC gone mad" brigade are out in force, because they really care about the character and Ian Fleming's legacy and it has nothing to do with a general kneejerk reactionism to Feminism threatening their masculinity. Obviously. The Fleming legacy should've been left alone years ago, when they started running out of books. Now they're just making it up as they go along but obviously it's harder for Hollywood to sell a new secret agent than an established franchise. It's like Dr. Who all over again. Fans were unable to believe a woman could play the Doctor, while continuing to believe a human-male-shaped immortal alien can drive a phone box, which is bigger on the inside than out, through space and time to converse in English with all manner of other aliens, then every few years regenerate into another human-male-shaped immortal alien, with an accent which has gone from northern English to eastern Scottish to posh Midlands to western Scottish. Credulity has its limits. Like Bond, the Twittics said Dr. Who has always been a man, so should always be a man. You could extend that to everything, if you actually could go back in time: prime minsters, policemen, firemen, accountants, footballers, etc etc. Except for nurses, which should always be women. A female Bond isn't the fault of political correctness or Feminism. Hollywood has actually learned that films which pass the Bechdel Test and feature women make more money, even with smaller budgets.
