Conflicted there. I take your point but I find it humiliating that Brentford are doing better than us. Sad days.
Bad day at the office. I'm guessing no fiddling with the team would have made any difference today. We move on.
Still on the cusp of being dragged back down into it. Hopefully we won't go on an "Ollie run" of defeats.
Not a lot of damage done, only side winning are Sunderland who are beating Hull.......Brum, Bolton on drawing and Reading losing. Fulham have put 6 past Burton and Barnsley lost at Villa..... Still drop 2 places with Forest winning at Wolves and Millwall getting a late winner at Massive, could drop another place if Sheff Wed beat Cardiff in late game, but still would have an 8 point cushion...........but you're right about another losing run......
Sounds like it was a cracking game at Leeds, which Milwall ended up winning 3-4. Beforehand they were 0-2 up then 3-2 down.
We have some points in the bag - but our goal difference is a shocker ... and today hasn’t helped! Need to pick ourselves up for next game against Brizzle City.
They were the better side especially up front and at the back. Our defending for the first goal was bad, and apart from Smith's aerial threat 2nd half, we had little or no threat up front. We had some nice passing movements from the midfield 3, especially Freeman, but not enough came of them when we got near their box, and we rarely got behind them, partly because we played with only Furlong's mainly aerial presence wide 1st half and nothing much wide at all 2nd. Washington was back to his normal disappointing performance with little threat, Oteh didn't do too much, Samuel looked lively when he first came on, but faded, but then we created little for these 3. I've said it before but Ollie should play Pawel wide to give us some width, and there was little point 1st half in punting long high stuff without Smith or Sylla.
Probably going to be like that for the rest of the season. Win a game or two but never quite enough to fully ease the fears and put proper distance between us and the drop zone. God no, another 6 game misery run would be hell.
can't really moan as Boro are a good side. Fortunately, I believe most results went our way so not much damage. We move on.
Boro may well be a superior side but they really didn't look particularly special today at all. We, on the other hand, were really, really pedestrian. No energy at all, we looked like we'd had double helpings of Christmas dinner 10 minutes before the match. Fairly even for the first 20 or so then the first goal was poor defending from a set piece. 2nd was a glorious strike but we just kept backing away inviting him to shoot. So much time and space. Missed the third but we'd just had our only decent spell of the game up til that point. Smith missed a really good headed chance and we had another good chance that fell to Lynch I think in a goalmouth scramble. Admittedly they had one off the line too but they weren't any great shakes at all. We were just not very good. We're so woefully inconsistent under Holloway. Never quite sure which Rangers are turning up.
Best team I have seen thus season. Plus Pulis grit....fast solid, clever. We were unimaginative especially upfront, our midfield could not dominate, but should have had a penalty, and they never gave up. Writing this one off as a loss to a better team... expect them to go up...would not be surprised if they got an automatic place now Pulis is there... Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Not too surprised by the result to be fair. Really didn't expect anything before the game as Boro should be beating teams like us anyway.
