Not sure why Gosden would have no hesitation if it was being run at Longchamp but not keen at Chantilly, especially as Cracksman has the C&D experience at Chantilly. I'd love to see Cracksman win an Arc but I think next year is his year and he's probably a better ante-post for the 2018 Arc than any Cheltenham ante-post
Imagine their regret though Ron if Coolmore / Aga Khan / Godolphin / Khaled Abdullah have a brilliant 3YO next season who smashes everything up and wins the Arc in a canter. They'd be wishing they'd run him this year. Time and again history is full of "if only" stories and if the horse is fit and well now I see no reason to wait until next season. The best laid plans and all that .................................................. if he's fit, run him in the bloody Arc. EOS.
I think he doesn't want Cracksman to have a hard race with next year in mind. It must be difficult when considering all the what ifs
Gosden obviously wants him in the Champions Stakes and Enable in the Arc, not rocket science. Highly unlikely the owner will go against Gosden so could be worth taking the 8/1 for Ascot.
Should have added that she is registered as in training with Alain de Royer Dupre. http://www.france-galop.com/fr/cheval/c0ZZdUZ2S1pEcUhOOU1XN3Y5blBWQT09
2yo TANINO FRANKEL (ex multiple champion VODKA) won easily on his second start at Hanshin a few hours ago. RISE EAGLE was also supposed to be running in a different race but I can't currently find out how he did.

First Eleven disappointing. Missed break by several lengths and detached in rear, gradually reduced gap and in rear of pack 4f out, shaken up over 3f out, no impression over 2f, pushed out after.
