They've looked like winners before though. There's a long way to go, which is what makes it so interesting.Having watched (highlights)of the main contenders for the league title City look like the winners for me, Man Yoo labour to their wins as opposed to City who smash their opposition.

I remember them winning 10 matches on the trot but by December we had overtaken them. So many things can happen during a season but I agree that at the moment they look like the best.

Spurs.... this wembly thing is already hurting them. they will be 4th, unless arsenal do for them...
LFC have conceded 9 in 5 already. 4 after a red card admittedly. We won;t finihs ahead of any of the other sides. I think 6ths is our lot. I'm able to call that one right now looking at it. We would need to integrate coutinho into the team very quickly and this lot click as a side at least going forward FAST for us to do any more.

The season is still young, but, the 5 points gab between us /City and United are significant.

Last year I called 5th and we crawled into 4th in the end after a great start and we got there only cos utd gave up knowing the Europa was piss easy.
Frankly.... arsenal have enough going forward to match us., they aint great. But spurs, cheslea, utd and city are way better than us.

If i said similar every year then i must've been... RIGHT... every year... imagine that.
Mate we are nowhere near the level needed. the top 2 are going to beat everyone in sight. Our record last year was 5-5-0 against the other top 5. its 1-0-1 thus far. The average points i beleive for the games v top 6 is about 9 or 10 points. we took 20.
If you take 10 points off our total from last year (assuming we are no better v the bottom half (and the evidence is we are not so far) then 66 points is or likely ending ppoints and that won't take 4th
If we get 5th not 6th is that any great consolation to you? Oh at least mito was wrong...
We are staring down the barrell of another season in the wilderness. I'm hoping for a last 16 in CL and a run in the FA cup... thats about it and back to europa then next year.
As is the 6 points for l'arse, the 5 point gap for spurs.... and the 9 points for everton.
the top 3 are going reasonably well. The top two are both +14 on Gd.

Predicting at this stage is quite simply a mug's game.
bookmark away. I'm merely setting out expectations. I expect 6th, i expect 60-70 points. probably mid 60s as stated and hope for getting out of this easier cl group and then hoping for an FA cup run. I expect to lose early in league cup playing kids. whether thats 5th or 7ths or 69 points or 61 points is really moot. I'm saying we won't be seeing CL football next year.
I did say sentence ONE i can't call between city and utd but Chelsea will be third best clear of the rest.
Perhaps it's just that you present it as a foregone conclusion rather than an opinion?
We're all entitled to our opinions, but we've all had enough experience of the vagaries of football to know that it's far too early to be claiming to know what's going to happen, apart from a few generalities.
