Best of Luck with Squire Guys if he runs? Weather forecast not great Source: BHA Going/Track Good to Firm (GoingStick: 9.0 on Tuesday at 06:00) Updated @ 6:53am, Tue 08 Aug Weather Dry yesterday. Forecast; Cloudy today with some showers. Tomorrow looks wet with some heavy rain throughout the day. Max temp 18C. Updated @ 6:53am, Tue 08 Aug
Good luck with Squire. Hope the rain holds off. Could be a Squire/Buzz double today. Stick/don. If you go I expect curiosity will lead yo to see how Buzz is (goes 60mins after Squire)
Betting in sellers is the road to the poor house BUT HALLINGS WISH 8/1 Brighton 2:50 Looks a gift off 55
All the best with Squire tomorrow Stick and Don. I'll not burden him with my cash but have thrown a little bit ew at course specialist Pour Le Victoire 22s. That should ensure you finish in front of that one.
Plus it's trained by Gary Moore too not many meetings go past at Brighton or plumpton where he won't have a winner!!
Good luck with Squire today lads....sorry to inform you, but I'm on him today. Just hope the weather doesn't scupper his chance and you all get home safe and sound. Also having a pop at Harwoods Volante today 5.10 Pontycake.
Correct! None at all and the sun is trying to come out too! So hopefully it will be a nice day Good luck! Hope you get to lift the LARGE trophy!
According to the Met Office: No rain before 3pm, then light showers, an hour or so heavy showers, then it doesn't stop raining until 6amThursday, followed by a sunny morning. Looks like Squire will be OK albeit he might be running during light showers. Buzz may have to face heavy showers. Squire 18/1 with Sky Bet. PP go 11s. Buzz 3/1 fav (4s available) .
PENDO - Brighton 3:20 - 20/1 Hope Squire does well for you, and with everyone having a look at the race this is my go at finding the winner. Yard are banging in winners at the minute, good course form, will love any softening of the ground but not ground dependent. Worth an ew poke.
A shame that there is a non-runner at Brighton as the 3:20 now only pays three places. If the rain arrives before then, I expect there could be at least another non-runner, which would be a wasted trip to the seaside... Top weight Cricklewood Green will not be bothered if it rains but his win last time was his first since a 5-runner apprentice race here a year ago and he won this race last year on easy ground prior to that in a blanket finish. Exceeding Power has won two of his last three but possibly does not want too much rain either. The filly Helfire has recorded three of her four wins on artificial surfaces, she was a well beaten third last time and her two runs on easy ground have been poor. Pour La Victoire was beaten a little over a length in this last term and is tried in a visor whilst stablemate Admirable Art has won twice at the track and would not be bothered by rain. Lord Clenaghcastle may be the biggest danger as the three year old has won three of his seven starts, including last time on easy ground at Epsom and clearly goes well for his decent apprentice. With SQUIRE currently showing at 16/1 on SportingLife.com (only betting source I can access in office), I will be hoping that by lunchtime he is still a good each way price or that the heavens have opened and he has been scratched.
Hard to be too confident in a race of this nature, it's a big pot for a Class 4 and they will all be trying. He is fit and well and will surely be doing his best. I think he is definitely overpriced.
