Can't speak with any authority on TH's contract, but relegation release clauses tend to be release clauses to higher division clubs rather that same div clubs, so there's some light there. Losing him for any 'small' amount would be a massive blow frankly as we'd need to replace him and with the coalition of ****ing numbnuts LD and EA running stuff i'm not confident on any transfer activity at the moment

Davies went to Derby when his release clause valuation was met. Diame last season actually dropped back to the Championship when his release clause was met.

I was gonna say they should all be only applicable to premier league clubs to prevent other competitors in this division managing to exploit them and strengthen themselves at our expense.

Easier said than done I guess.

You went to Scotland on holiday??

I dread to think where you must live...

Rather than just saying that, maybe consider different opinions. I personally think Tom has been a big problem for a few years and I'd be more than happy to see him move on.

Tom's style doesn't suit the championship but I'd still really like to keep him. That being said with the rumoured £2m release clause, I never thought we would. I'd be astounded if he didn't go to another PL club though.

Tom's one of our most gifted players.

We've only got thirteen outfield players with any league experience left at the club.

And some people still want him gone?

Bizarre.

Yep, because his slow pirouetting style prevents us from breaking at speed and makes us painfully predictable. In addition, we have ample numbers in centre midfield.

If he does stay, I wouldn't pick him as a first choice.

I read somewhere Slutsky prefered style is to have 4-2-3-2 if Tom is perfect for one of the 2 DM roles.

It's one last payday for Tom he'll be desperate for a move.
Brucey couldn't give him away last time we were relegated.

He's the most gifted midfielder we've ever had at the club. But his form as been piss poor a lot of the time.
Posters slate Elmo but over the last four seasons Elmo has been far more consistent than Tom.

We could do with him but he'll go.

Hull set to take Aina on loan
Chelsea youngster Ola Aina is set to join Hull City on loan today.

Right-back Aina, 20, is the first player than new Tigers boss Leonid Slutsky has poached from the Blues.

Slutsky has a close relationship with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and is hoping to use his close connection to the Blues to help inspire Hull back to the Premier League.

Hull have also asked about midfielder Jeremie Boga, who spent last season on loan at Granada.
