Leicester look dead certs for the drop, they were beyond appalling. Wes Morgan is playing exactly how I remember him playing for Forest - big, slow, clumsy and generally ****. We have to be all over these like a rash at the King Power stadium as they look a really poor side.
This is the season Sunderland finally go down, Palace look doomed under BFS, and Leicester play like condemned men. Looking at the current bottom 5 (it looks like Swansea are going to be okay, and though you could make an argument for Bournemouth being in trouble it's beginning to look like 3 from 5. Over the past 6 matches we have picked up 7pts (despite having arguably the toughest opponents), Sunderland 5, Boro 3, Palace 3, and Leicester just 1. We now have 4 winnable games in the next 6 matches. I'm fairly confident we will survive.
For me it was easy, they look at too many different types of vehicle. You either want a 2 door, 4 door or a ****ing estate, not all of them...
It worries me everyone assuming these 'easy' games are in the bag. I bet you Burnley come and play like they have against Chelsea today with a 4-4-2 when in possession and a 6-2-2 when out of possession. Parking the bus, whilst we have improved massively, when a team comes to dig in and take a point, I'm not convinced we have the artillery to break them down. The teams we have played so far at home have been quite adventurous in attack, leaving space behind, so we have been able to score goals.
I think given enough room our two new wingers will put some cracking crosses in, it's just about will anyone get on the end of them, the pole looked like he could terrorise lesser right backs down his wing and mr 20mill Liverpool reject could do the same...
Even more massive when you take into consideration we have never won a PL match in May. As well as Palace we have Sunderland(before) and finally Spurs.
I can see Palarse surviving, along with us. Boro Lesster Sunlan I cant see us losing ANY of our fixtures TBH
question................................... as teams move out of the bottom 4, will you adjust the colour accordingly?
I can't argue with your take but I did class the forthcoming games only as 'winnable', whereas under Phelan I had no idea where we were going to pick up points. Under Silva's management we have much more of a chance of overcoming the particular challenges that each side presents. For instance, I think we're the only side to have the majority of possession against Arsenal at the Emirates (albeit only by 1%) and might have picked up a point were it not for the inept officials.
They looked organised yesterday and very hard to break down. Factor in the fact we always struggle against them....I'd take a 1-0 against them right now! 7 points from the next 3 games would do me. Burnley - 3 Lesta - 1 (3 in this game would be magnificent!) Swansea - 3
Crux for me is whether we can perform when the pressure is really on. To be harsh, you could argue that Silva has had a lot of free hits against top teams- pressure off, nothing expected of us etc. If we can finally do Burnley at home, hopefully with the fans staying behind them like they did v the scousers, then that, to me, will be a key sign that we are going to stay up.. and a key sign that Silva has got a different kind of mentality into these players. On the other hand, surely Sunderland are ****ed....Bournemouth could be the ones to drop given the amount of goals they are conceding- and they have lost their best striker
There's teams in the mire that are shipping a lot of goals against average sides. Sunderland and Palace for example regularly shipping 4 at home against gash opposition.
