His charitable deeds are well known, add to that how he worked tirelessly for the 2012 Olympics cause and the failed World Cup bid - I think he attracts a lot of bile through jealousy, which is a shame cos we can give Knighthoods to bent ****s like Philip Green and others of his ilk.

I don't really get why people would dislike him
Give him a Knighthood for me, the honours system is all a load of bollocks anyway and as been said if Philip Green can get one then any ****er can have one for me

Didn't they give Jimmy Saville a knighthood? If yes, then just about anyone is worthy. Instead of tapping him on the shoulders with her sword, Her Majesty should have dragged the blade across is scrawny perverted throat.

I've always had time for him, its her that I can't stand - she's about as warm and welcoming as a rice pudding left outside on the window sill too long in mid winter.
 
I'd give him a knighthood for THAT performance against Greece alone .. never have I seen such passion and drive from an England captain who loved his country. He single handedly got us through that. Yes he earns **** loads with endorsements but that's the world they live in. He has been involved in numerous charity work and has contributed financially more then we could ever dream of .. Sir David .. got a ring to it don't ya think. As for the stick insect .. well that's another story
 
I think the people involved in the honours system need to stick by their policies through thick and thin, or David and Victoria as they're more properly known.
