The fee is cheap, agreed. His salary won't be - that surely puts stop to the discussion. Am sure we wouldn't smash our wage structure to bring him back. Sends the wrong message to players who will see that leaving and coming back (rather than loyalty) leads to riches at Saints. How many Man United/City/Liverpool/Arsenal/players have joined Saints in the PL era? I've excluded Chelsea only because someone will tell me Bertrand came that way - but he was young, and his salary hadn't begun to climb to silly levels yet.

Pppppplllleeeaaassssseee bring him home.

If I were Les I would just throw the cheque book at him. Also if he has any sense he will want to come back home. I would love it if he came back

Black Box has probably looked at him recently and says no. He may offer us an improvement (if we can get him back to where he was), but is that improvement value for money is the real question. He has to be compared to players we already have under contract....they are used to our present style and given another season may well get better.

Is Morgan what we need, is he willing to return, will he be as good as he was, is he value for money? I suspect the last one is the killer.

Can we just be financially short-sighted for once..?! It isn't value for money to bring him back but surely the value we have got in another transactions will counter this? We're a club that on average has good value for money.

West Brom is a better move for him now than us

Everton fans are convinced it's a done deal because of the wages issue. I'm sure he'll be very popular there on top dollar.
Not sure really if Schneiderlin is an 'impact' player in the way being their biggest earner might be expected to. What could possibly go wrong?

Depends what money is available....I'd rather buy an out and out striker. We are creating chances already....just not putting them away.

Let's not forget that we have one of those already. We have an out and out goal scoring centre forward. He is currently injured, however that's only been for a couple of weeks. Just a reminder to fans who are crying out for a goal scorer (I agree we need another one), when we have already had one who is a natural one, yet the goals haven't been flooding in.

Sometimes things just don't go your way. I'm sure they will again soon.
