RT has been taken off here too I read somewhere that the Russians paid sky to allow it to be broadcast on their platform
Russian-backed RT channel to lose Sky TV slot in UK within 24 hours https://www.theguardian.com/media/2...nel-to-lose-sky-tv-slot-in-uk-within-24-hours I wonder if I will be able to get a 1p refund from SKY?
I heard a Ukrainian representative on the radio on Monday saying, 'If NATO won't enforce a no-fly zone, give us the planes and we'll do it ourselves. We have the pilots'. I now read that the EU is doing just that, supplying 70 fighter jets. For our part, Dominic Raab 'hasn't ruled out' doing similar. How come the 'lumbering' EU has been able to move much faster than us on refugees, sanctions and now planes than the supposedly newly nimble UK?
World Taekwondo revokes Putin's honorary black belt a day after he loses presidential role with International Judo Federation. So Putin didn’t even work for his belt?
Stroller why do you need to try and score political points all the time? The U.K. was training the Ukraine army and supplying weapons long before the EU decided to join in. Welcome to the party EU! I will also add that they were slow on SWIFT. Germany and Italy didn’t want to put certain sanctions on Russia. However I will say that they have stepped up and doing stuff now. Let’s wait and see how they treat Ukraine with joining the EU?
Yes, we'd been supplying weapons for some time as part of NATO, but our post-invasion reactions have been slower and less far-reaching than those of the EU. It was a genuine question. We were told that Brexit would allow the UK to move much faster on international issues such as these.
It might be you haven't put your thoughts across properly but it doesn't sound great to me. 1.I'm not saying all of the Ukranians are racist, but these isolated incidents are racism. Imagine being forced off a bus or not being allowed on a train when any other tom dick and harry is allowed on just because their ukrainian. 2. What has their treatment in their own country got to do with someone being racist to them just because they are probably treated better than in their own country? I suppose when the chelsea fans forced the black guy of the tube instead of calling them out for racism, we should have just mentioned how they get treated worse in their own country? 3. You are right, there probably should be more on the plight of africans in their own countries. sadly no one cares (well at least thats what they media think) and so no one is publishing big stories about them. Ukraine is this months topic so thats why its the headline news unlike say the yemanis.
This thread has become an echo chamber for one or two people to show their outrage with everything and everyone apart from Putin. Leave them to it.
Yes, but you obviously didn't read mine. I think we can be quite proud of what we have done/doing. The EU has only just got involved that's why people think they are doing more. We don't need to advertise everything we are doing. But as I said, I am pleased the EU are now taking a strong stance.
How do you two flag-shaggers interpret my point about the speedy and far-reaching post-invasion reactions by the EU as being support for Putin? For the record, I'd be delighted if someone put a bullet in his head.
That's a real strange comment Col…just ‘cos someone disagrees with you it doesn’t make them wrong…or right for that matter. As I’ve said before, it’s not all black and white…
But didn’t you know Strolls….if you’re not pro Ukrainian in every way, shape or form….then you surely must have a photo of Vlad on your wall and kiss it goodnight before bedtime. It’s sad people feel the need to choose sides but I guess that’s human nature.
