Well, any lingering thoughts of a miracle were washed away by the worst footballing side in the Premier League today. Our abysmal and abject surrender was symptomatic of our season, a disjointed and uninspiring display by a team that obviously cares more about their bank accounts than the club that pays them.

Isn't it ironic that the coup de grace was delivered by Crouchy both in the goal he scored and the penalty he won? A player we were linked to both at the start and January window of this season and who isn't a regular in the Stoke side.

I just left the ground today feeling a foreboding of what will come in the close season and what we face next season. Anyone who thinks this motley crew will bounce us straight back up needs their head examined, there is a malaise like a cancer that is afflicting our club and it will take major, major surgery to rid us of it. The fact so few of the team acknowledged the fans at the end, those who endured today's shyte, speaks volumes about what is wrong with our club and why I don't believe we'll be making a speedy return.

Sorry if this is depressing but I've had enough...

Any Arsenal and Newcastle fans can have my tickets for the next 2 home games. Ill be back in August when hopefully we can put 11 men on the pitch who wil play as a team, look like a team and put it all in 90 mins and acknowledge the fans at the end.

Redknapp and Fernandes know the freeloaders, and those that will battle on the pitch. I'd be amazed if there isn't major surgery, or call us Wolves...

I agree totally. The project starts now. Three to four years before we even think about promotion. Sensibility is needed. It will be a hard journey but I think we can do it.

i've never felt so down today its the first time i've felt like walking out & that was after about 65mins, couldn't see where a goal was coming from, our play was awful no imagination players couldn't trap the ball, going down without any fight, bring in the kids for last few games, ok i stayed till the end but how depressing.

I agree lets give some of our reserves and a few of the kids a run for the last 4 games just to see what they can do.
