    People with money to burn take child benefit because it's there ...

    ... and claim free TV licences for no other reason than it's offered.

    I've no idea where morality lies these days, certainly not with the government.

    The basis of the idea was sound, the actual scheme was like taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut ...

    ... too much money went to people who didn't really need it.

    Ive been reminded that one of the conditions of the governments furlough scheme is that employers can’t add to their wage bill during it.

    Could this be why we haven’t had any contract extension announcements or new signings?

    Would seem utterly bonkers if so. But I also can’t see how we’d be allowed to claim furlough if adding to our wage bill?

    If it makes everyone feel better just imagine it's my Furlough pay that you'll be paying back. If ends in 2 days when I'll be without a job (for now). I've been spending my lovely furloughed year and a bit keeping my family safe. HWTL
