7th is a real possibility and what we should aim for. 8th and 9th would still be a good season. 10th would be a little disappointing in all honesty now. And 6th or higher would be amazing.

I'll predict at the very least we'll get a point in the next two, and 4 at a push. I'll also predict that Stoke don't get all 6, and instead get a max of 4 themselves. I do see where you're coming from though, I guess I just want to be hopelessly optimistic?

I'm hoping we'll finish at least 7th, I really would like us to get through the season without getting a drubbing from any team. Bolton last season was a shocker, as we know even Arsenal and Man Utd have had horrible defeats this season.

take 10th if the mackems got relegated otherwise ide only be happy with 8th upwards with the start we've had, and providing we get someone like Jan Vertonghen in think 6th could be a realistic target hopefully ahead of the bindippers...and if arsenal lose can persie to injury you never know we could even sneak into 5th but thts hideously optimistic

I'd expect us to finish 7th, the frightening thing is we could easily have been 4th on Monday night if we had beaten Chelsea.

Top half finish is the minimum requirement now really. I'm always happy to get to 40 points but I think we should expect a little more now. 7th is a realistic aim but it will will rest on Ashley really. If he releases enough funds to sign a quality left back and some cover at centre back I think we'll get there. Obviously I'd like a striker too but I don't think the need is crippling. I have a feeling Best and Benni would link well and Best would get some goals with Ba out of the scene. His role has changed a little since Ba came in. Ba takes up a lot positions he used to and rightly so as he is the better finisher. I just think Best may come back to himself when Ba departs for the ACON. Of course if we sell in January it will change things dramatically because our first eleven is where our strength is.

I'll go for 8th for us. Just behind Fulham and just ahead of Everton and Stoke. Those three is our mini league of 4 at present.

Don't rule West Brom out of a top half finish playing well and have some good players.

They were the other ones I thought of, and the Mackems at a push. I thought the three mentioned were likely to have the class in their squad over the course of the season. I saw plenty of frailties in West Brom. We only lost because of one player, James Perch. It could end up a mini league of 6 though. One I think us and Fulham will fight out if we strengthen. Of course anything can happen in terms of a top 6 side having a disasterous run but I think it unlikely.

    Welcome

As always, depends on injuries mate.

6-7th - I would be very happy indeed and would mark the massive improvement that has already been displayed in the side. If injuries are kind, then this is a very realistic goal.
8-9th - Still happy, shows some improvement and give something to build on. May enforce the need for depth to Ashley
10-12 - A bit disapointed. After such a great first half we would have to be absolutely abysmal for this to happen. Though still an understandable finish if we lose key players in Jan, coupled with injuries.
