Ahh, nuts. Lad seems a bit erratic (completely expected for his age and the expectation on him). But he's played some right cracking passes and look good on occasion. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
He needs to be looked after so this hamstring heals properly and we don't hurry him back. I know he offers us something different but we don't want him being in this position regularly.
Wouldn’t want to knock the lad but I’ve yet to see where he offers us anything different, has been little more than average in the little game time he’s had this season, that said I wish him a quick recovery.
Its frustrating really, this was supposed to be the season him and Ethan Robson were supposed to get integrated into our first team. Injurys have forced Robson to have to go out on loan again and now Embleton is out till probably Xmas.
I think he's suggesting that Wycombe purposely done a number on Watmore, knowing his problem with injuries, meaning his latest injury is not down to bad luck, it was because of their dirty, bully boy tactics and he's still suffering the consequences now.
Thank you.. I thought it was obvious what the implication was... Newbies huh Not sure if little black books are still kept a la Jack Charlton, Roy Keane, but the offenders name is Marcus Bean(?) and he plays for Wycombe
Its that new boy jinx again, Watmore, Hume, Robson and now Embleton, its really tough luck for these young players having suffered injury just as they were showing real promise on breaking into the first team squad. Hope they are all fit and pushing for places in the second half of the season when we will need a strong squad to cope with the run in.
I was thinking the same, every time a young one seems to be on the verge of a break through into the squad they pick up an injury that keeps them out for mid to long term. We have no luck
For those of you of a certain age this luck can be traced all the way back to when Bobby Kerr started in the first team, he burst on the scene and was getting rave reviews then along came Norman Hunter and broke his leg in front of the main stand at Roker Park in a league game and it took him ages to get back to that level. However, he did have the last laugh in 1973.
And young Willie Mcpheat before him who also fell foul of the same gang of monsters from which Hunter learned his trade, all master minded by the rat Don Revie.
