The big lad was on a golf course in South Carolina. I was there 2009. He's about 13ft. Walked up to within about 10 ft of him trying to get a decent picture before I realised he was awake.

Haven't seen the need to change it. Memories of a great holiday.

Nice one. I would never dare get that close to a croc. I know they aren't particularly quick but my worst fear of dying is probably being attacked by a wild animal, and those ****ers could get me on land and in water! Seriously scary beasts.

Harsh, and yet not without a stroke of truth <laugh>

While I was trying to take the picture from another angle, with a brand new camera I'd never used before, I got too close and actually kicked his tail.

We'd been told before we went out that he was missing a leg and he wasn't a problem. Still, you don't see them on the courses in Bedfordshire. Not legally anyway. Would get the tourists in though <laugh>

Haha holy ****. I think living in England its such a culture shock going to America or somewhere like that re: wild animals. When we stayed at my lass' uncle + auntie's in Michigan we were sat out one night having a few beers and a ****ing black bear came into the garden and started climbing on the kids play equipment. I was absolutely ****ting myself but those who lived there told us just to sit still and it wouldn't come anywhere near us. Sure enough after about 20 minutes it wandered off down the street. Can't have been more than 30 feet from us but it just wasn't interested. The most dangerous animal in England is the domestic dog.

Mine is off my Business Card - I make clocks in my retirement for 'occupational therapy' stops me from getting bored.

So to stop you getting bored you sit and make clocks.

Occupational therapy, Commachio, as I am in my late seventies and there is only so much you can do in the garden and round the house. I've made over 500 in the past year and roped in over 15 grand. the bulk are for Aussie Rules Football teams and they go absolutely Ape-s hit for them. Many go at auction for over a 100 bucks and I have a huge list for Xmas presents as i do personalized ones (Family members, pets etc) as well as Cars, Bikes and Disney Characters. Certainly kept me occupied mate.
