    Ashes 2025

Interest probably varies a lot geographically too. I get the sense Hull is a blackspot for cricket interest, and I'm sure there will be others too. But I'd hope that interest is greater in other areas. Doesn't help that the nearest ground now is Leeds. Incidentally there is a test at Headingley...

    Ashes 2025

The popularity of the sport has got to be a big issue. Not many young people care about it at all. My mates are baffled that I'm interested in it. Stuff like NFL is trendier now which I think is a shame. And I think the Premier League as well, the same way it distracts people from supporting...

Can anyone actually say what that table of Pandur stats shows?

Transfer Rumours January 2026 Transfer Thread…

Pandur's distribution depends heavily on the game and the opposition. Against Wrexham we seemed to really focus on him passing short to Slater. I don't think they're much of a pressing side so we found the space and time for him to do that fairly easily. The problem is games against good...

Not seen it mentioned anywhere but Sergei was talking about Jacob the other day and it sounded like he wants to have him back here for the second half of the season. Maybe that's as Giles' backup with Williams not working out.

    A stay of execution then.

Match Day Thread Millwall v Hull City

It was just a big clearance by Ajayi really. Every team makes those when a cross like that mandates it. The crucial thing was that McBurnie was able to turn that into a counter attack with his excellent hold-up play, which we've really missed. And then obviously everything that came after was...

I assumed he was including some saves prior to joining us.

    MOTM Wrexham (H)

Belloumi Slater Giles Belloumi as we already knew is just a cut above in skill and comfort on the ball. He has a way of quickly turning any pass received into an opportunity to run at people, his touch but also his understanding of the pace on the ball and how he can use it to his advantage...

Match Day Thread Hull City v Wrexham

Our players could do to start wearing a second pair of shin pads on the back given how they keep tearing their calf muscles by being kicked on them.

In a way it is individual errors, but it's not true that individual errors can't be worked on and reduced, or that the coaching staff are free of blame for it.

Was going to say how awful was Ajayi but everyone's already saying that. Thought Crooks was piss poor too. I really like him at times, usually in games that were dominant in, but when we're on the back foot he's a right tit, just goes round catching people late over and over and can't do...

Ömür is another one. That spring when he was still new and exciting people were amazed by him. There's no one more new and exciting than a player who gets injured right after joining.

Transfer Rumours January 2026 Transfer Thread…

Matazo seemed to have a nice touch but we saw nowhere near enough of him to be talking about him as one of our best players, as people sometimes do.

Transfer Rumours January 2026 Transfer Thread…

Shirt numbers are unrelated to the 25-man squad (there's no limit on who can have a shirt number), but it's still true that Matazo was already named in our 25-man squad.
