time to nut up and move on

Just realised I don't belong on this forum. I'm a Sunderland fan in name only, as I haven't been to a match all season and only saw five last year. I managed to watch through Buxton, Reid, Wilkinson and McCarthy with season tickets before financial realities away from football kicked in (I'm...

Come on, man. That's too deep for a Wednesday afternoon! I'm busy contemplating getting to Saturday without going postal up here in mag-territory and you're floating quotes like Confucious.:emoticon-0105-wink:

    Dream Team Woes

Just been on the Sun Dream Team site to check my team's performance and discovered five Chelsea players in the weekend dream team top ten. Sort of sums up the weekend for me.

    Tyne/Tees attendances - what next?

Ignoring the whys of the Fulham game, attendances are dropping across the premiership, including Newcastle and Sunderland. Money is a major factor, followed by getting sick of watching mercenary prima donnas sell us out on a regular basis. A lot of the lads I work with from both the local camps...

    Moving the debate on

Didn't I see somewhere that Beardsley was at the match yesterday? When I read it, knowing our predicament, I got a shiver down me back. Really hope we aren't now trawling for assitant managers, etc.. as that would signal there's no money available. On the other hand I have been known to be too...

    I fear the worst.

Forgot to say that losing Quinn could set us back and relegate us in the current circumstances. A lot of the goodwill we've built nationally and internationally is down to him. Yes Bruce isn't working but he had the right pedigree to do something with the club - it just hasn't worked. Blame...

    I fear the worst.

I was happy to let Bruce have til December - as long as an potential incoming manager has the January window to correct any immediate concerns, it was fair to give him a shout. I don't think he is totally at fault for losing Gyan but it's on his watch and as mentioned aboce, it's not the first...

The $2.8 that turned Gyans head.....

Just read that he had agreed to stay and shhok hands with Bruce on Wednesday, only to anounce he was going on Friday. Bruce is blaming the agents but the size of the clubs who originally came in for him probably had some effect.

    Steed, I would, would you?

I didn't want him to go, as he offered something we are still lacking - flair. Not sure I'd have him back though - George McCartney?

    international-passed fairly smoothly..

Bet they have. If you lived there and Uncle Kim invited you to attend, I bet you'd go along. Maybe they filled it when the North Koreans returned from South Africa as champions.

Good article. Would you or not ?

Don't need anymore on the right/centre until we've assessed the current crop. Simples.
