At this point in time there is no need to panic and go out and sign loan players etc. We have a decent squad, let's see what they can do first before we decide to sign other players. We do not have a one man team and there is no guarantee that loan players will be any better. UTG

This is splendid news if the deal come off. I will not be putting my house on us winning the League though as anything does and will happen during the course of the season. Like Gills79 I do have similar doubts about the state of the Club's finances and just do not know where the money has come...

Who would have had to make way for Obersteller? It is very difficult to accommodate new players when the budget may have already been met, or exceeded. Only Hessy and the Chairman know what the budget is and they won't be saying anything.

I would imagine that by fielding a Gillingham XI that Hessy will be giving some of the youth players a run out together with the some of the players that we retained from last season who did not make the first Xi on a regular basis.

I know that we got rid of eight players but from memory we did not get anything for them, so, the overall saving was there wages alone Yet, we have signed several players and maybe some of these players wages are not as large as the players that we got rid of. (Are you following me so far?) but...
