Isaiah Brown's first-half goal handed the division's bottom side just their second three points of the season. The breakthrough came in the 24th-minute when Brown, a Chelsea loanee, collected Danny Ward's ball to surge through the QPR defence and fire home. Millers' goalkeeper Lewis Price kept his side ahead, before Joe Newell should have killed the game off. Rotherham's first victory in 112 days moves them to within eight points of Wigan, and 10 points off safety. It was a thoroughly deserved win for caretaker boss Paul Warne's side as they created a host of chances and kept only their second clean sheet of the season. Ian Holloway's QPR, who have now won just one of their last seven league matches in the Championship, fall to 18th place in the table and sit just three points off the drop zone. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/38192112
Was out all day, had a very pleasant lunch in wexford, glass of wine to wash it down, found out the score on the radio on way home, thought so what? Not really surprised we lost as that's what we do with opposition who are in awful form.......
I'm on the train back and Ian Taylor is sitting next to me. He said Holloway was surprisingly upbeat in the post match conference. Neither of us could see it. He's fuming, I'm fuming he has a tough job for our next four games to try and spin QPR. 3 points from those 4 games is very worrying.
Cheers to Kiwi for providing pictures of scantily clad women the match thread. Dirty old job etc.. Also to Nines and Watford for their updates. Looking forward to the full reports.
I'd be fuming if I was him. His management of the match was atrocious. Even Hasselbaink wouldn't have been that naive.
He's far more encouraged than he has ever been.... these are fake results, imposters....he's deluded. please log in to view this image QPR manager Ian Holloway: "It is very, very disappointing, but we have to take the positives. "A goal has changed the course of the game, it gave them a lift and they held on to it far easier than I would have liked. I saw too many shoulders drop. "It's early days to get what I want, unfortunately it's not going for them. "When I look back at that I can't believe we didn't take a point. I am far more encouraged than I ever have been, I believe in what we are doing, these results are impostors." http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/38192112
I don't know who he's trying to fool. They missed an open goal and had one cleared off the line. I don't think we had a shot from inside the box.
Missed this post earlier. It's football not politics Shirley? If you're serious Nines why should anyone be trying to "spin" QPR? We see what we see at the games and don't need anyone to interpret this for us. And if you are serious isn't this style over substance mentality, this let's throw out a soundbite and tweet idiocy to try and form opinion, the real canker at the heart of the club? Bread and circuses. New stadia and training grounds. Uncle Tony Fernandes.
I meant to say from the four previous games. I doubt that we'll pick up three points from the next four Tramore.
I have no words to describe that Telford. I may wake up sober in the morning but I doubt that the debacle will become any clearer. The whole match was a complete and utter shambles. One positive though ... Smithies was our man of the match! ... again!!!
Makes the predicted line-up easy no? If it was that bad should I try for a refund on my Wolves ticket? A local game... Wolverhampton in December.... Wolverhampton....
I meant that from his ( Ian Taylor's ) point of view that he has to put out player and manager interviews etc. He's on a hiding to nothing. He or they can't say outright that we're ****, he still has a tough job trying to put a positive spin on events even if there isn't any.
