Just watched the replay....BeeJeesus that was exiting, thought he was beat ! Delighted for Henry Brooke, must be a ride of the month contender with Adam Beschizza on Squire?Munsaab ew 14:15 Hexham

Heavy at Hexham, nice, eh?
In the 1.15, Gibbstown - 3 of last 4 wins over C&D, last win off today's mark and has won on heavy - how many ticks in boxes is that? Bound to fail ...
2 there for Mr Hughes too ( and why not? )
12.45 Clan Legend
2.45 Turtle Cask
Enjoy!
Paid 27.53. Not too bad, especially as it was the first 2 that got 1st (12/1) and second.Silly bet out of interest
Medahim, Saluti, Captain Pugwash, Milburn Jack . 1 point reverse forecast any 2 = 12 points
that translates loosely as we have no interest in trying and I've no idea where the gamble came from. Bad Penny duly broke in front and was held back to go last, waiting for a horse who was being scrubbed for 2 furlongs to get bye. Will the stewards look into it? Definitely not. Should they? Yes. If you have a machine of a horse you may get away with this tactic but all the while you are waiting to drop out the front end are going further clear...and at this lowly level, no horse will make that ground up. Hello, all.
Sir Michael debuts a very interesting one tomorrow eve at Kempton Park namely BUTTON UP (5.15). What a lovely name for a filly by the way.
Must confess I have no idea how this one has been faring on the old gallops (Button Up not Sir Michael) but what attracting me was the linage (again I’m speaking of Button Up and not Sir Michael). She’s a half-sister to a Stravagante (dual winner and was favourite for the ‘King Edward VII’ before being pulled up badly injured) and Stargazer (a winner and next season an animal who will I believe will develop into a Group horse). My regular readers may recall me bigging, to use rather a Chav word, this latter one up considerably earlier in the year. These horses, at the time of their last racecourse appearance, were rated respectively 100 and 99. Meanwhile, the dam was a winner and Group placed from just 2 racecourse appearances! Therefore, it’s clear to see Button Up is a lovely bred filly and she certainly won’t be failing on that score.
The yard of Sir Michael is, obviously, not busy at this time of the term but he’s in form with 2 out of his last 7 runners winning – interestingly both ridden by tomorrow’s pilot Graham Gibbons at the rewarding odds of 20/1 and 7/1.
Button Up’s opponents who have raced don’t look exceptional with collective form of -55904069480. However, as in all races of this type, you do have to wonder if any of the other unraced sorts are well above average. But on breeding I feel that Button Up potentially fits into the category and therefore is most, most interesting of the morrow.
Good luck, pilgrims.
Cor bally blinkin' blimey has anyone seen the follow up re this race?!? Button Up ran satisfactorily on debut finishing 6th of the 13 horses but after the heat jock Graham Gibbons (he only had one ride) was asked, how shall I put this politely, ummmmmm…to provide a sample. What he did though was to substitute his sample with that of fellow rider Callum Shepherd.
In the words of the Stewards Report, ‘The stewards held an inquiry following a report from the clerk of the scales that Graham Gibbons, the rider of Button Up, had substituted the urine sample that he was required to produce with that of another rider, Callum Shepherd. Having heard evidence from the sampling officer, Graham Gibbons, Callum Shepherd, Paul Struthers, the chief executive of the PJA who accompanied Shepherd, and a valet, they forwarded a report to the head office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.’
I think Mr Gibbons is set for a very, very, very lengthy ban, people.
I wouldn't worry the BHA will bungle the investigation and he won't get any ban. 1.01
