Rubin Kazan fully intend to keep Yann M'Vila beyond the expiry of his current deal with the Russian club and have offered the player a new contract.
That is according to one of Russia's biggest news and sport outlets, Business Gazette. The publication has this afternoon said that the offer will firmly establish the Frenchman as one of the highest earners at the cash-rich Tartarstan club.
And whilst we've previously reported that Rubin Kazan have intended offering M'Vila a new deal all along, the timing is now significant with the advent of December and the final few weeks of the 26-year-old's current contract in Russia.
After a protracted summer saga in which the player looked to be on the verge of joining Sunderland on a permanent basis, Yann M'Vila has since successfully established himself in the Kazan first team and despite claims he has yet to reach peak-fitness, he has impressed in recent performances.
Indeed, in temperatures approaching minus-fifteen degrees centigrade on Wednesday night, it was M'Vila who provided a fine through-ball to enable his teammate, Jonathus de Jesus, to score the only goal of the game and lift his side into the top half of the Russian Premier League table.
M'Vila has gained increasingly positive reviews for his performances and in his tackling skills and deft play-making from the rear of midfield.
