Must have looked different on the TV. The few of us at the ground saw a gutsy and often well organised performance that was unbalanced by the sending off. The midfield finally played as a unit and were creating plenty of chances. We clearly still need a striker in January and the situation with Onouha as captain remains a joke but otherwise plenty of positives from the game.

We've only scored 4 goals in 6 games, winning 1 in the process. Worrying.

My point really was that neither Robinson nor Perch really operate effectively as wing backs

We have at least 2 tried and tested wide players, and changing the system just doesn't seem to be working. It may do in due course but we need some points pretty urgently

"Wolves ended their nine-game winless run and picked up their first victory under new boss Paul Lambert by beating 10-man QPR."

We seem to get other teams back into form.
    This l find very frustrating.

Indeed. Far from creating lots of clear cut chances we seem to be making poor decisions in the final third. Neither the Ipswich nor the Wolves keepers had much to do in their respective matches

I wouldn't agree with all of that An Riocht.

I thought we showed plenty of effort and were inches away from Lynch getting an equaliser. How did he not score?

The one thing that struck me was how poor the starting front two were, especially Polter. If I was Ollie, I would start with Sylla and Yeni the next game.

Said to my boys during the warm up
Wolves looked sharper on the touch
Qpr where just doing running mainly before they did some shooting practice

Holloways blue army chant filled me with joy

**** behind us needs putting down
Complete disgrace and boys stopped me from lumping the twat in s block

Wolves made a sub and Saville came on late and this twat shouted
    Peado

    Off home tomorrow thank ****

Recommend Just Park app use it lads it's great £8 5 minutes from ground

Brilliant end to match loved it but I am still not sure we have the players and Wolves are a very poor side

We have some real idiots at LR

Also I thought we were very narrow with no outlets and wolves controlled the spaces very easily

Henry was booed but did nothing wrong in fact we played a few better triangles all from him and Wolves chased shadows but it was too late and football had no chance of growing

Overall football was very poor by a home team but that matters not IMO
It will take a lot of time to secure a mid table position

    Horrible but entertaining night.
There with son who pointed out that the rules re dissent were made very clear at start of season. Perch must have missed that lecture. Hope he's suitably punished for effectively throwing the game away.
First half was mostly mundane until Perch walked then, of course, they got their tails up but not very much. Wolves looked poor and may continue to struggle especially with Lambert at the helm. Yet again we gift a team who've not won in nine with points that they did not really deserve but were given as a gift.
I don't understand the negative comments about lack of energy / passion. Even at 2 nil down they did not drop their heads and caused Wolves trouble to the point where the 10 men did not seem to make a difference. Their second was a great bit of individual skill that had little to do with us being down to 10.
Great to see us grab one back.
Had there been anyone of our strikers or attacking mid where Lynch was, then 2 all and job done. On another night, it might have been so.
I don't enjoy losing but I do enjoy being entertained and I was in the second half.
If Ollie can keep that up (preferably with 11 men on the pitch), we will be fine for this season and might see a few additions for the future in January.
I don't think Rotherham is a 'must won' but it is near to that because after that we have Derby and Villa at home then Brighton away. Tough games.

Poor performance, terrible game, only enlivened when it became like a Sunday morning game on the Scrubs at the death. Yes, we were on top before the sending off but we never really looked like scoring. Polter and Washington just didn't seem to combine at all. Even after the sending off, though, we still looked the better side until half-time. Entirely understandable that one of the front two should be sacrificed, but Holloway chose the wrong one in my opinion. With a man short, Washington's willingness to chase toffee papers would have been more useful than Polter's ineffectual huffing and puffing. The second half 4-4-1 just didn't work and Wolves capitalised, both goals being down to poor defending by Robinson, who may have been returned to the side before he was fully fit. Some fine saves by Smithies kept us in it (he's one the best I've seen in one-on-ones) and, crazily, we could have nicked a point but for Lynch's inexplicable miskick. It's disturbing how in each of Holloway's games in charge we have been worse after half-time.

    eeeeeem?
I don't need to say too much about this. It was all there for the World to see.
We are so so poor. We have a team that is unbalanced and not very good. Wolves are one of the worst teams I have seen, any other team could have beaten them with 9 men.
Won1 lost 2 no different to the last bloke... actually he would have drawn 1.

    And if I may...
Holloway needs to stop banging his chest as all that over exaggerated sense of self-importance won't win you games.
Maybe he should try and show the players how to pass/defend and concentrate. Perch was a d*** but that was just one problem with the team.

Being in Thailand where the game started at 3 at night and a lot going on I skipped the TV game. Olly doesn't enthuse me either. Woke up now and see this result enthuses me still less. We need a decent Manager and a striker at least quick. Relegation otherwise likely.

I have seen worse...Brentford and Newcastle matches for example

    We would have won 11 v 11
    Ollie is better than JFH.

    End of my positive message.

As you know Ellers, I wasn't exactly over the moon with the selection of Olly either. Rather than say, I told you so, I think it is time we all united and gave the management and players our full support. After tonight, it is clear to me that we are in a relegation dogfight. If we start pointing fingers at a new Manager after 3 games, there is one thing that is certain, we will be in serious trouble. It is time to get behind everybody at the club and to reassess things in the Summer. We have made our managerial change and we have to face the music now. Just my opinion Ellers. I am sure you understand.

I couldn't see anything but a win for us tonight until Perch got sent off. It ruined the game and killed the atmosphere until the faithful rallied in the second half when the ten men tried to fight back the two goal deficit. Although the ref was technically correct to book Perch for dissent you can't blame him for arguing back what was a crap decision. Don't be a cock and keep blowing up for everything and spoiling the game.

As said before on here earlier in the thread the front three were all poor tonight, Polter, Washington and Chery. There was no cutting edge and Holloway mentioned this the other night that there wasn't enough goals in the side and he hinted that none of our strikers are good enough. He'll do his damndest to help and improve them though.

I thought the booing of Henry was by the Wolves fans but after seeing IwasanotherwatfordR's post that clearly wasn't the case. ****ers.

Anyway I'm sure most of us on here saw the game either at the ground or on the telly so there's not much point in delving too much into it. This season is getting to be as painful as the last one.

Robinson had far too much pitch to Marshall and his decision making on moving looked very poor and hesitant

Obvious spaces appeared as 10 men still played as if they had eleven you don't see that on tv only where the ball is ... and it's currently poor but really enjoyed the match

    Irony

Wolves supporters hung a banner out at the end of the match

Out of the darkness came the light
