How much do you think private organisations spend on such things and where do they charge this to?!
I've used VPN on my laptop for a long while because I torrent TV shows - well worth the money I pay every year.
VPN means virtual private network. It basically is your computer going through another network before connecting to the internet, so your IP(basically the number your internet connection is given, which gives away where you live and everything) address is masked.
In simple terms (example):
Your IP when connecting to the net is: 1
You go through a VPN which changes your IP to: 9
So it hides what computer you are on and also where you live ( can also change were you live).
Torrents are basically illegal downloads of content. (Games, tv programmes, movies, etc etc)
Anti-Muslim Activist Katharine Gorka Named to Homeland Security Transition Team
Katharine Gorka, a controversial national security analyst who specializes in discussing the threat posed by Muslims to the United States, has complained bitterly that the Department of Homeland Security trains its agents — falsely, in her opinion — that Islam is a “religion of peace.”
Now, Gorka will have a chance to help Donald Trump remake the department. On Tuesday, she was selected by Trump to be part of the DHS “landing team” that will meet with Obama’s DHS officials to manage the handoff to new leadership.
Gorka, the president of a think tank called the Council on Global Security and the president of Threat Knowledge Group, a consulting firm, is a well-known figure among anti-Muslim campaigners.
Gorka argues that defeating terrorism depends “upon our being able to call the enemy by its proper name: Global Jihadism.” She has pushed legislation to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group and impose sanctions on its “affiliates, associated groups, or agents.”
The affiliated groups mentioned in the legislation include mainstream civil rights organizations such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Islamic Society of North America.

The violence and hate-filled messages pouring out of Black Lives Matter seek [a] kind of bloody resolution, or revolution, though they cannot admit it in polite society. Even as celebrities clamor over themselves to demonstrate their fealty to the hate group, they align themselves with one of the most destructive groups to the well-being and justice for black Americans that exist today.....
White America needs to be brave, they need to stand up against this latest attack on the Black community by the likes of Black Lives Matter – to be unafraid to face the condemnation of the powerful but morally reprehensible liberal elites and mainstream media pushing these lies. Stand by the side of law enforcement, the men and women who are often the only semblance of hope and justice in the crime-ridden inner cities.

He continued, "There's a new Harvard study out that shows that there is no racism in the hearts of police officers. They go about their daily duty, if you will, to keep communities safe."

What about the jail the People's Sheriff runs in Milwaukee County?
Milwaukee County Jail...has seen four deaths since April under [Clarke's] watch, and about which the sheriff and the sheriff’s office have been shamefully silent. Not even the families of those who died have been told much about what happened......
The Sheriff’s Office has not publicly released any information about what factors contributed to the deaths of Kristina Fiebrink and Michael Madden. Their family members told the Journal Sentinel they have held funerals and grieved for weeks while knowing few details about why their loved ones died. The others who died were Terrill Thomas, a 38-year-old inmate who died of profound dehyrdation, and a baby who died after an inmate gave birth unnoticed in her cell.

I have a ring and text credit card sized phone. Only runs 2G which in this country will be fine until at minimum 2020 and 3G space will be shed before they get rid of 2G.
There has been a petition out against this for some time. Which I signed, of course.
Peculiarly, the new film about Edward Snowden will cover a lot of this type of surveillance. I invite everyone to watch it as the general public are in danger of sleepwalking into losing their personal privacy. Well, OK, they lost that years ago. What I mean is having your own private data used as evidence against you.
Zac Goldsmith loses Richmond Park to the Liberal Democrats. At the last election, the Tories held a 23,000 majority there.

It's an interesting one. I don't know how much running as an independent hampered Goldsmith (lack of party support and so on) and of course the nature of his failed mayoral campaign probably lost him support on a personal level.
If nothing else it suggests there's an opportunity for the Lib Dems to target areas that voted strongly in favour of Remain. They're the only really pro-EU party and if they campaign hard on the Brexit/EU issue they can probably have some success.
