And even if we got a stellar January signing he still wouldn't be as settled as Lala. Keep him to summer at least.
Definitely wouldn't sell Lallana in Jan. No one that's near first team should be moving on as squad isn't bless with huge depth and we're going to need everyone this year. I prob wouldn't sell him in the summer either unless someone came in with an offer over £35m He's been very good so far this year and since Klopp came in, but given his age and the style of play, have to wonder how long he could keep that up? Another year or 2? Would that money be better off invested in someone could get 6/7 years out of?
no to a Jan sale unless ridiculous money but even then it would depend on league position. I thought his importance to the team was shown when he came on against ManU
Our bench lacked depth on Saturday....it's good to see some young lads on it but once we pick up a couple of injuries.....and we will, we look short....praying that Couthino's injury is not bad. Really need two quality signings in January.
needed every window IMO. if klopp cna lay hands on 2 (pulisic, dahoud or brant or whoever) i'd be very very happy. buy yes we are a squad that guys are getting very carried away with. TAA might make a good RB as he develops but right now if clyne gets injured thats the depth there At CB we are playing Lucas as reserve! we have no LB IMO In the midfield three we have 2 holding players in henderson and can but only 2 box to box in the style klopp really wants. The other reserves like a lucas or a stewart are also holders. Wijnaldum and lallana are they types he needs by the look of this system. Grujic has a lot to learn. Up fornt he had firmino, ings, origi and sturridge for one spot and then really only mane and coutinho out wide. so theres lots that might happen as klopp evolves things. I think a box to box technical player for midfield and a wide attacker would suit klopp to the gorund. Lets face it if mingolet, lucas, moreno, stewart, sturridge, ings all left we'd not complain would we... not really. thats he nature of football. there will be turn over.
Id complain if Mig left with no replacement. I'd complain if Stewart and Studge left as one is a decent squad option who has been solid for us when called upon, despite your irrational hatred of him, and the other on his day is the 2nd best CF in the league and will have a huge part to play this year and next.
Not sure Studge is the second best striker in the league anymore.. Augero, Costa, Sanchez to name but a few are playing better than him and scoring goals.. If Studge was ripping ****e up in training then you'd bet Klopp would have got him into the team. On current form, Studge isn't top 5 (maybe not even top 10) striker in the league. We can't play players on sentiment, they need to earn it on current form. I'd love a fit and firing Studge but we may never see that 13/14 season player again. He's a gone in the Summer, maybe Jan if we get a good offer for him and we've a decent replacement lined up.
Id only put aguero ahead when on form although Costa is quality. Sanchez isn't a Cf in my opinion but does a decent job. Agree at the moment but when on form, and given chance he's still one of best finishers in league.
i did say turnover.. there will be turn over and none of those players will be missed if they go. simple.
0 goals in 9 games suggests otherwise. In all seriousness, he's a player who can produce a moment of magic and score from nothing. He also terrifies defenders and can be lethal from anywhere on the pitch. Not sure whats happening with him this year though, obviously firmino is preferred but when he has come on, he's looked great in some appearances (watford and southampton) but looked abysmal in others (united). Still got great footwork but i think he's lost a bit of that speed that made him so dangerous which is understandable after all his injuries.
I would agree Its like saying kompany is best Cb. he is clearly not cos he's not done it and not stayed fit and neither has sturridge. Its a shame but its just a fact.
yup thats all about it. his mind seems closed to the possibility that klopp might have used him differently starting from left and not the central pressing player. The thing is if you watch lfc warm up you will note a regimented play structure being rehearsed. yet.. put sturridge on with firmino and they look like they never met each other. something is going on there. sturrdige needs to do more IMO to fit in
Kompanys not done it for about 4 seasons. Where as Studge hasn't done it for 1/4 of a season where he has been a sub for most of it and got bit part roles. When he's come on he's looked great again in some games. Don't become a terrible player overnight. I did say on form he's one of the best, and to say he won't be missed is stupid. He'll play a big part in 2nd half of his season
ermmmmm.... what about the prior 2 seasons virtually missed due to injury? 2013–14 Premier League 29 21 2014–15 Premier League 12 4 2015–16 Premier League 14 8 2016–17 Premier League 8 0 thats the reality of his record. Last year, not too bad when klopp finally got him fit for a period. but he's played 1.5 season IMO for us. form january when signed getting 10 goals in 14 games (plus injuries there too) and 2013/14. before that he didn't set the planet alight and since then he's been crocked so.... kompany and sturridge seems quite fair comparison to me. Sturridge seems fixed maybe but he doesn't look the same player. and klopp isn't picking him. as i said if klopp replaces him (which turn over means (i've posted it twice after all) no sturrdige won't be missed. for me klopp could keep origi and work on him with firmino and buy a wide player again. I think this is what he might do.
