Awful days racing for a Sunday really.

That said though, I am pleased to see Milsean return to the track tomorrow. He moved to Mouse Morris from Mullins as part of the Gigginstown row, last seen finishing second in the Albert Bartlett (2015).

Knowing Mouse he will come on for the run tomorrow but he looked a chaser through and through and was in my novice chasers to follow last year, but never made it to the track. Hopefully tomorrow is a pipe opener and he comes forward from that.

Oh, and one caught my eye as a potential "Whoops, Barry Geraghty picked the wrong JP horse" moment.

Enda Bolgers Stand Up And Fight 9/1 won rather impressively for Mark Walsh at Punchestown and although you wouldn't associate the trainer with novice hurdles, this could be a nice one.

Don McLean tends to agree here

Beefy- are you siding with Battleford tomorrow on his hurdling debut or does that Joey Sasa have a chance? (Or indeed some of the lovely winning pointers in the field?)

I think Navan looks an excellent card.

The grade three novice hurdle could be one of the best seen so far this season. Death Duty has some excellent collateral bumper form. LiveLoveLaugh likewise. The fact She's a Star has been priced up as the outsider of the field shows how strong the race is. We'll be seeing plenty of these horses compete in top handicaps and the better graded races this season and in the future.

Min's appearance over fences adds a little wow factor and the Troytown is an excellent race year in year out.

For me, i'd like to see more days like this with less racing but decent quality.

Last race at Leicester- Wildmoor Boy

Up 10lbs for winning at Cheltenham but he has finally clicked as a racehorse. His promise has been there to see from his bumper debut at Cheltenham , but things went badly wrong for him in his novice season over hurdles.

He's now on a roll and he dominated a 18 runner field including a Martin plot horse who ran on to finish second to him.

I like the fact that he stays further and shouldn't get hassled too early here.

Your comments so true, Heisenburg, you are missing nothing. Now, I wonder why? Could it be that the PMU puts a fair old whack back into French horseracing? Could be.....<laugh> <whistle>

Battleford at 1.53 in the 12:10 at Navan
Godsmejudge at 3.25 in the 13:00 at Leicester
Trapper Peak at 5.50 in the 13:35 at Leicester
Min at 1.33 in the 13:45 at Navan

A few at Navan I fancy for this afternoon, hopefully the Sun will break through for us viewers to see.

Livelovelaugh 3/1 - Navan 12.40
Edwulf 9/1 - Navan 1.45
Killer Miller 8/1 - Navan 2.20
Fine Rightly 16/1 - Navan 2.50

**** it- Big Fat Sam 100/1 e/w in the opener at Navan.

Running okay before his fall on debut. Resale value went right up and hopefully is better for the experience today against a lot of raw pointers.

Battleford expected to go up in trip as a neptune or Albert Bartlett type so worth a little interest against him at these odds.
