I love the way Elmo gets the blame for the first goal. Dawson leaves Defoe to make a stupid challenge and loses it in the air to Watmore FFS, leaving a gaping hole in the defence. Davies and Elmo are ****ed cos of that. It was a ****ing horrendous error from Dawson.

It's another Thudd situation, big signing but we carnt find a role for him. 3 years from now he'll be getting splinters like Tom.
Scatter gun transfer policy, spend big on a player we don't need because we can't accommodate him.

I really don't agree with that. In fact, I'd say lower half premier level. However 11 to 22 is not even championship standard if we can even muster up to 22. As we have previously found to our cost, its that 11 to 22 that matters in a full season.
In premier league, you should never have to play your best midfielder in defence, let alone first half dozen games.

Another day where the decisions he makes are forced, and where there is literally no choice.

I hope he doesnt get a transfer kitty, it'll be throwing it away.

Have to agree Chazz, Mason just isn't a wide left middle fielder. We just have too many central middle fielders, but that is where he needs to play. Apparently he was sick, so probably was the reason for his ineffectiveness.
 
Phelans hands are tied. After the equaliser, any other team would bring someone off the bench to go for the win. He has no options. Similar early season when we had a bench full of kids. Hanging on vs Manure, everyone knackered after chasing the game but only kids on the bench who he clearly didn't trust, as no subs made. . Its a laughable and probably unprecedented in premier league history

Dawson, Davies, Snodgrass, Livermore, Mason, Clucas, Robertson would probably get into bottom half PL squads - ALL the rest would struggle to get into a good Championship team.

Don't disagree with those 7. Sure half a dozen others WOULD get into a good championship team. I'm sure many other teams in the bottom half have a similar first seven. FFS Dean Marney is still doing a job, would you have him in that list of 7? Probably on a par with Meyler at best? Its after that we're exposed.
 
Ryan Mason just isn't good enough full stop. We've also been fleeced of £13m quid for him.

Between him and Henricksen I don't know which one annoys me the most? They are both passengers in our team and we can't afford to carry passengers.

They are no better than players we already have at the club.

I think Phelan is doing a decent job given the resources he has at his disposal and having the ****wit Ehaw as a boss. Don't always agree with his tactics, starting eleven but he's honest enough when he gets it wrong.

Add Mcgregor and Moses. Upto 9 and we have 9/11 of a midtable team. Still **** up top

Putting him wide left when you've got Tymon behind him was bonkers. I thought it was crap because he wouldn't give Tymon any support, and actually it was worse because every time Tymon went forward Mason did drop in to cover...and was dreadful
