Sky, do you want Spurs to lose because you know that we're coming for your top 4 spot?

The problem for Spurs is their squad is garbage after their first XI

Literally not a single player on the bench against Chelsea

Shame Spurs lost, being unbeaten was a nice millstone around their neck, drawing their way to midtable

Another couple of bad results and Spurs will be overtaken in the table by United and Everton, and Watford could also go above them.

Can the Spuds avoid another defeat in the Champions League tonight as they try and salvage some scraps from their campaign, which has been an 'embarrassment to English football' ? If they don't embarrass themselves again, then they might scrape through into the Europey pot and reclaim their rightful Spursday night football slot.

Whatever happens, their fans should enjoy tonight's game, as it could be their last Champions League game for a long long time, maybe ever. But predictably, like their team, some of their fans are already bottling it. This one using the excuse that he's 'scared' to go to Wembley tonight <laugh>

I can see Poch being on the horns of a dilemma, here.

One the one hand, he would like to put on a show and let our lads plays free-flowing football, now that there is no pressure on us to perform. On the other hand, he won't want the distraction of pointless Europa League football, not when he is clearly making another massive push for the domestic title.

As a far, I'd like to see us competing on every possible front, but I am not so unreasonable as to comprehend that, given our lack of resources, we are probably better served going to the title.

Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised if Poch lets the lads throw in the towel, tonight.

Last season was your best chance and you messed up on that and you think you are in for the title this season <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Not going to happen in your life time Brave_Sir_Robbin...better of trying to qualify for CL again if you boys can..<laugh><laugh>

You boys are known for throwing in the towel...most recently at the Bridge and then from 2 horse race you came 3rd in our shadows again<party>

Getting the excuses in early? IMO and probably that of most reasoned football fans, the Europa is likely Spurs only chance to qualify for the champions league and this should concentrate on the EL as the league title is out the question. No WUMs please as that is common sense information

Yup I'm hoping we go out tonight. 2 games less than Leicester and Arsenal....its no big deal....all 3 are miles off from winning it anyway.
I guess you will be hoping you can qualify again sometime soon hey Homer:emoticon-0126-nerd: Don't go :emoticon-0132-envy: because we your better neighbours have been doing so much better in your life time domestically as well as CL and so on:emoticon-0126-nerd:

Indeed, Spurly.

I see no shame in going out early and admitting that we were not quite up to the task. I mean, it's not as if we got trounced by any side in our group.

What would be deeply embarrassing is to get through to the knock-out stages only to suffer a mammoth dry-humping at the hands of Real, Barca, or Bayern. Arsenal, of course, are old hands at this, and have a fudge-tunnel like a wizard's sleeve, the Biblical humpings they've taken over the last 20 years, but every Englishman has to be concerned at what awaits Leicester!

...we [ie. Arsenal] have been doing so much better in your life time [in the] CL and so on:emoticon-0126-nerd:

Hey, Chuckles!

Arsenal have qualified for CL on 20 consecutive occasions, right?

How many times have they won it, again?

Massive push? <laugh> Resting players in lieu of the Chelsea game, remind me how that panned out?

That old saying, "you've got to be in it to win it" doesn't apply to Arsenal in the CL.

For them, there's a different saying, "you've got to be in it to make up the numbers and take a massive dry-humping in the last 16."
<laugh>

**** me! You've got a short memory, Skiddy!

We lost, mate. We took you apart in the first half, but conceded to a wonder-goal, and then couldn't maintain our dominance in the second half, due to carrying too many injuries.

It happens to even the best of us.

No dry humping for them [HASHTAG]#bottler[/HASHTAG], considering no one can remember when you last won anything of note the URopey cup must be high on Levi's wish list to boost his wallet. Poncetto won't have a choice as Danny pulls the strings.
