Sounds like you just need to change which websites you visit. If I read The Express every day I guess I might feel sick of all the immigrants ruining my life. There are plenty of places where there are not "stories" every day about what some student did in some university somewhere (which might even have happened years ago).

"the constant stream of bullshit news stories focusing on total non issues because theyre politically correct"

See, you complained over and over again before about how feminazis are running the world and ruining everything for everyone all the time. Yet your two examples were a Twitter spat from over a year ago that somehow made it into some national papers and...I can't remember the second one but I remember that they spanned a good couple of years. So...constant?

I think there is ample opportunity to consume "SJWs are ruining everything" stories. I've actually been watching a few very annoying videos recently of SJWs being total dicks. It's sort of a bit addictive. It makes me cringe and sort of feel superior for a bit. But it's a really bad habit and can give you a totally skewed idea of what is happening in the world.

Oh - and you actually *are* racist and a bit of a misogynist. We've seen ample evidence of that and I've cited it before now too.

You've seen no evidence of me being racist, because I am not racist. I don't ever recall having "evidence" "cited" to suggest that I'm racist either.

I was thinking about that thread where you were chatting with a couple of people about how stupid black people were. In general chat. I mentioned it months ago when we were discussing how women are enslaving us all and all feminists are nasty ****s (except the ones from the good old days or something).

Oh right yeah. Got you. Or you got me or something. Fair enough. I'm not actually racist though, it was just english humour / naughtiness. I can understand why you wouldnt approve, but that's really the whole point of a 'joke' like that. Everyone making the racist jokes, understood that they werent actually being racist, they were being naughty, and if anything, deeply satirical. It was a very childish humour. The jokes were probably borderline illegal or whatever, but everyone on there understood what it was about. That's the whole point.

Anyway, yeah, ok, so on that basis you might be right in saying that there's some evidence that im racist. But, you're not right in saying that I am racist.

Pfft! I dunno. I could totally believe that could be the case. I have certainly (In private with very good friends who know me very well) made some massively offensive jokes and part of the humour has just being sheer ****ery naughtiness. I mean - I have no idea why but I do so often want to give you the benefit of the doubt. Probably just the contrarian in me wanting to give a Trump supporter (who, now let's be honest, Rob, does have a few issues with women it seems) a break.

Though - ****ing moron that Trump is, ****ing rank twats as some of his supporters are, I definitely can't totally condemn 100% of the sentiments of those who rail against the clearly establishment, compromised figure that is Hilary Clinton (though Trump is, to my mind an even more dodgy type of establishment plus I do think some of her detractors criticized Clinton in a way that had a lot to do with her simply being a woman) and some of the extreme silliness of some of the (disproportionately visible and discussed) identity politics/PC stuff. I basically think it's massively silly to say "Nazis wanted Trump, they literally have zero valid complaints".

I can't normally stand this guy, and I think that most of what he says is garbage, but from aroun 3.15 on here, I think he gets it absoloutely spot on :

You must log in or register to see media

I think that what he identifies is not only arguably the biggest problem with and threat to our society, but - as he says - one of the major causes of anger and disaffection that leads to a result like trump winning the election.
You know I saw this on FB and it was ****ing earie how practically everything he says in that is stuff I had said/thought.

EDIT: Though I definitely did not predict Trump winning - wouldn't want to give the impression that I saw all this coming and always knew that Clinton was going to lose. But I thought it was much more possible than people were saying (burned from Brexit). And with the perfect clarity of 20:20 hindsight Clinton was quite obviously the worst candidate possible to run against Trump.

One final, totally idle thought on the US election too: Trump was a singularly awful candidate but **** me, TED CRUZ was next in line! Ben Carson! The Republican party is full of ****ing nightmarish mad ****s too! Like, properly ****ing insane ideas and beliefs and I'm not just talking about preferred tax rates or attitudes to government health programs. I'm talking about **** like how the pyramids in Egypt were grain silos or how creationism is some sort of ****ing thing or you can and should pray away the gay or raped women can't get pregnant...climate change denial is one of the less weird things that these people regularly believe in.

So. Yeah. What I'm saying is that, as we sit and eat our **** sandwich we could perhaps mull over how we could instead have been enjoying a puke milkshake. So that's productive.

Jed Bush was the most suitable Republican candidate, IMO.

But, I suppose the idea of another Bush turned out to be too much...

Seeing Clinton as "the establishment" and Trump not is clearly based on a narrow view of the establishment, presumably centred on the political establishment. It can certainly be argued that Trump is just as much a part of the Establishment in terms of the top 1% of the population (and more specifically the top 0.1%) who wield disproportionate amount of power and gain disproportionately from any wealth creation. In fact this group has got even wealthier since the financial crisis, while we now hear that the rest of thus need to get into the 2020s before returning to the sort of income we enjoyed prior to the crisis. Anyway, my point is that the Establishment is clearly more wide ranging than just the political class, and most certainly includes the group of extraordinarily rich older white men to which Trump belongs.

At least two aspects to this.

Politnik establishment (the Clintons, Bushes etc) .
Business establishment (the so-called Big Business (TM) ) , of which Trump is so much part
of (Chapter 11, tax avoidance etc) regardless of how which voters think a Trump vote is
"giving it to the Man" etc

"Fidel Castro was a brutal dictator" says a man whose election promises mainly consisted of forced deportations and imprisoning his political rivals
Is that the same Donald Trump who dealt with Cuba while it was still illegal? Must've had a change of heart.
