It's a bit like American Presidents saying things like "I never had sex with that woman" and you know he's been bonking all over the place and a sex scandal is on it's way. It seems if somebody in football says anything to do loving a place or the fans you know they are about to jump ship then. I must remember that you can say one thing and mean the opposite so I've just volunteered to go shopping with the Mrs tomorrow. Mind you she doesn't ever believe me anyway so I might have to find better language to deceive better.
Good Morning, I came in here for a coffee but the cupboards are like Old Mother Hubbards lol ..... hope the day is being kind to you all !
Morning Gat...just having a good breakfast here as no eating or drinking at work as its Ramadan, thats for everyone too. At least we dont start till 10am.
OMG bedoboy fill your boots then. Surely this Ramadan malarky doesn't apply to the English? Of course the day is being kind to me GAT I love Mondays.....when I'm on holiday woohoo!!!
Hmmm see Mr Fallon is as good a bouncer as he is a striker and will let anything in the bar. Good result Saturday hopefully the team can push on from here just hope they are given time at HP and the boo boys don´t jump on their backs if it isn´t going well. Still need to give them until Christmas to really see what they can do. Flights booked so will be there for the first home game of the new era at least and hopefully our first 3 points of the season.
"this Ramadan thing" Very PC Mrs Reid. I wouldn't bedoboy. I remember eating a kitkat on the high street in Bahrain many moons ago as a baby sailor and virtually being jumped on by my mates. I had no idea it was Ramadan or even what Ramadan was so it was in total innocence. I wondered why the locals were glaring at me. You can try the mars bar but you may not see next season let alone this one. I only listened to the game on Saturday mexijan but it sounded ok. Not fantastic but ok which is as much if not more than you could have expected if honest. Maybe a 20 minute spell when they sounded to be on the back foot prior to the goal but not overwhelmed. They also created chances which with a bit more experience and time the youngsters would put away. All in all it was a satisfactory afternoon for the greens.
I couldn't see where the ball was I was listening on the radio not watching. If it was on the ground then those headed attempts were quite nifty. Ok in fairness the commentators were saying both teams were trying to pass it about and weren't hoofing. Have you been persuaded to attend tomorrow?
One report said "too much football and need to know when to go route one" their really is no pleasing the masses!!! With the youngsters it will be that kind of decision making that will let them down on occasion but they will learn when to play and when to kick the leather off it (or laces out of it for our elder members). Mate went up and said Gibson left his mark a couple of times and certainly wasn´t shy when needed and was overall impressed with the newcomers. Still need options upfront and light on the left going forward but hopefull another 1 or 2 to come in. From all accounts a good point away to a good team would sum it up for me. Hopefully a good performance and a loss on Tuesday then kick on Saturday.
I doubt I will be able to go sensible but then again I never was one for the evening matches and I can console myself with the fact that it's only a cup match which we never do well at. It's a very early night for me tomorrow night but I'll be making up for it Saturdays.
Evening All .... hope you all got home eventually tonight, it took me 50 mins to get home ...... glad I dont have to observe Ramadan ..... I like eating too much lol ..... I cant go up to HP tomorrow cos I have to go to an U11's friendly
There was a bad accident at Manadon Roundabout .... not sure if it was a cyclist or a biker was knocked off their bike and a lorry went over them .... doesnt sound good, the roundabout wasn't due to re-open until 8pm tonight !
