Dogma 14/1 E/W - Kempton 6.55. Competitive Listed event and Dogma ran a nice race on British debut here to lose out to re opposing Bess Of Hardwick on the line. Small pull in the weights and should give it a good shot. If the Fanshawe runner reproduces that effort behind Western Hymn from lto he should prove tricky to beat but is plenty short with several questions to answer.
No need to apologise rudey, thats what the forum is for, passing on word etc-They can't all win and your only passing on info, it's up to forum members if they want to back it
Racing Post reported 2001 GN winner Red Marauder has died at 26. Prompted me to look up the race on YouTube as I recalled it was on the boggy side of heavy that day but my memory of the race was sketchy. Blimey what an absolute brutal race that was. The winner could have unseated about half a dozen times with some pretty iffy jumping. Pile up at one of the fences that took a load out on the first circuit, only 6/7 made it to the 2nd circuit and both the winner and runner up could have easily been taken out by a loose horse at the Canal Turn on the second circuit. Red Marauder had a long and happy retirement at his GN jockey's yard which he thoroughly deserved after that.
I gave it strong consideration Rudebwoy but the fact the rest of the field in his maiden had not achieved a great deal I opted to leave him out.
I backed red marauder and went to the pub to watch the race - by the time I got there - most of the field were not running anymore and those left were all unrecognisable ,covered in mud - Richard guest rode a typical considerate ride on him , a true horseman and the horse just kept responding - it was a dour contest you'll ever witness - the horse never won again ........
