Everyone keeps saying this, well, Cardiff, Wolves,Villa sacked their managers and found replacements!!
Also to say 'no one is available' is utter bullshit, EVERYONE is ALWAYS available please log in to view this image
Maybe if we'd acted quicker we could have bagged Bruce. Yes I know for some fans Bruce would not have been a great choice, but at least he never lacked passion and knows how a CB should defend, and has experience of not only the club, but what it takes to get out of the championship and fight it out at the bottom of the PL. I'm not a great fan of big Sam, but I think he would have a much better chance of getting our current squad promoted than AN.
Most fans feel that QPR away is a crunch match for our manager. A draw might be acceptable although I believe we have a stronger squad. Another defeat would put a few more nails in the coffin or even send him on his way? Still not sure if our present poor form is ALL down to AN but he will be seen to be the problem. No doubt he will be amply rewarded for having his contract terminated so it's not all doom and gloom for him!
I never approach any game expecting or even hoping that we'll struggle or lose. But if anything is going to shake this board of NCFC's out of it's catatonic trance of abject complacency and force it to wake up and smell the Galway Roast (RIP!), then losses at both Loftus Road and Derby ought to! Otherwise it will be 'as you were, chaps' for as long as the Smith clan are the majority shareholders/owners of NCFC
Don't understand how the Board are responsible for the team playing badly? The manager asked for and got Naismith, Pritchard, Canos, Klose, Pinto, to say the board haven't backed him is just plain daft! They are guilty however of not getting us a proven manager!
Sorry, but that isn't what I said. Conversely, they've backed him quite well financially - but the fact that he's overloaded areas where we weren't too badly off and neglected areas where we were crying out for reinforcements must surely come back to haunt them? Or are they genuinely happy just to have a) a club and b) a balance sheet in the black? From what MWJ said in that recent interview, not much else matters
So the fact that he's "overloaded" certain areas is the boards fault? They don't tell him which areas he needs to buy for, nor who to buy!
I can't bring myself to watch the highlights again this week. Is it worth a look at AN post match interview, or did he trot out the same old guff he always does?
That's because he was a breath of fresh air after the anti-football of Hughton and the ineptitude of Neil Adams. But he's learned nothing from our foray into the (nosebleed territory, if you're an ITFC fan) rarified atmosphere of the Premier League, only knows one way to set up and play, has his personal faves who get picked each week regardless of how brilliant or crap they are, is clueless on substitutions and has poor / no game management skills any longer. Anything I've missed, chaps?
Strange that Hughton was so poor as our manager but is now highly successful as manager with Brighton. Has he changed his playing style or is his playing style better accepted with fans as they are winning on more occasions than not?
Bearing in mind the gulf between the Prem and the Champ, I think it would only be fair to judge him if and when he gets Brighton up to the top flight. He did well with Newcastle, Birmingham and is going great guns, as you say, with Brighton - but all three were / are second tier clubs whereas we were Premier League during his stint.
If we loose at Derby - which I feel is very likely now that we are in a downward spiral then AN will be gone. Who is in line to take over is anybody's guess but let's hope he lasts longer than AN. Will we be in for a long search where we get the usual "we need to have a manager who will take this club forward..............." or have the Board already got someone lined up?
From what AN has said at the Q & A session at the AGM, he won't b letting Kyle Lafferty loose at Derby
I feel that AN has become stubborn on the subject of Lafferty. Clearly doesn't rate him other than bit part substitutions. Despite what he states AN thinks he has the answers to our poor run but is not fooling the media and fans one little bit. Board doing nothing as they don't want to fork out for his dismissal.
Be amusing if Laffs got to play a game or two to 'put him in the shop window' ready for the January window, and bagged the winner for us a couple of times. Or would AN then choke on his humble pie if that was to happen?
